henrywool1978 : I think you can call the shop back and ask them to fix the dining table back for you if you have problem doing it yourself. Hopefully, you dont meet with the same chinese guy who did da poor installation job thereby causing you this problem.

You purchase your sofa without delivery ??? If inclusive, then the shop must provide you with a viable solution without additional cost at your end. Otherwise, I think it is only fair that the shop allow you to change to another model/item. Try to talk to the shop for a solution.
