  1. Hi simei_mum, I am from Malaysia thus I am not sure about the availability of Fujioh 1000LVD hood in Singapore. But viewing the Fujioh Singapore website, the 1000LVD is definitely available http://www.fujioh.com.sg/cooker_1000.htm I chose this hood because of my relative high recommendation. He is my kitchen cabinet manufacturer and also one of the Fujioh authorized distributor in Malaysia. His wife is a heavy cooker and his kitchen is not oily at all. Of cause I do not take his word for granted and also done my part of research and a lot of people who is using this model is very very satisfied customer. Thus I purchased this model. So far it serve me well. I prefer this model because i like its design. This is a very personal thing. In Malaysia the Fujioh 1000LVD is selling for over RM8K. Hope these helps.
  2. i m using Fujioh 1000LVD. So far so good. My aunty who cook daily also say it is good. No oily feel in the kitchen after every cooking. Heard it is one of the best hood approved by Singapore government after series of stringent tests.
  3. Thanks for your feedback Panasonic did not discontinue the model in the market. They just discontinued it in Singapore market maybe. The reason might not be due to poor performance or reliability issues but i believe mostly is due to less demand because of its premium price. Panasonic 2 in 1 washing machine is still a popular machine in Japan (They still name it under National brand there in Japan). Just got a feedback from fellow forumer vineyard that his Hitachi 2 in 1 still perform without problem after 1 year of almost daily washing. Sometimes I think it is a bit unfair to write off Japanese brand front load washing machine for reasons like Japanese brand never into front load washing machine market. From what i know, Apple is not reputable for mobile phone at all 3 years back and now they have the ever popular i-phone. Texas Instruments just into the High Performance Analog market for around 4 years and now they are among the top 3 leaders in high performance analog market. So who to say that Japanese brand front load washing machine cannot be as good or even better than continental brands?
  4. I am targeting the HITACHI BD-105V2 BIG DRUM Front Load Washing Machine cum Dryer. It looks really nice and from paper the features are quite good too. I am not so sure about the performance of Japanese brand front loading washing machine. This model is directly imported from Japan so i guess the built quality should be excellent. Anyone currently using this model? mind to share some feedback? HITACHI BD-105V2 BIG DRUM
  5. hi guys, I have narrowed down the choices of the new fridge that I am going to get for my new house, please help to advice which one would be the best choice. 1. Hitachi R-SF55XM or R-X6000M - gross capacity 554L/612L (Inverter Technology) 2. Mitsubishi Electric's Folio MR-W55N - gross capacity 542L (Inverter Technology) 3. Sharp SJF75PSSL - gross capacity 750L (Non-inverter Technology) I really like the Sharp SJF75PSSL but the down side is it is not equip with inverter technology so it will consume more electricity in the long run. It is the cheapest among the three though. Besides, does inverter technology live up to its name? The fridge with inverter technology comes with a premium price tag, is it worth the money? Please advice.
  6. Maybe your kitchen is big Unfortunately the lower part is concrete so it cannot be scrapped
  7. I am currently on the fence on whether to add another layer of plaster ceiling to the master bedroom or not. The master bedroom came with plaster ceiling ready, but the ceiling is not level through out the room. If leveled the ceiling to the height of the low side ceiling then it will be a neat full even surface for the whole master bedroom. The ceiling height is still over 9ft after leveled. But downside is the plaster ceiling will cause ~RM400 to 500. Any ideas? opinion? suggestion?
