  1. I would advise just do the customised wardrobe, re-paint, and buy some stylish furnitures. Others are not so feasible and waste of money.
  2. My view: 1) cement screed flooring - wouldn't it looked 'dirty'? I haven't seen any 'good looking' cement screed flooring, probably what I can't imagine are those old type of cement flooring, haha. Btw white tiles go well with minimalist theme 2) No. I don't like ID as their designs normally overdo and not lasting. But good point is their design is theme based. They mark up on the quote, you might pay same price to ID comparing to getting a contractor but the quality of the things you get is different. ID tend to get something cheaper for you so they can earn the margin. 3) I don't like the idea of dark wood, don't think it goes well with white and grey. Wood is more for country desgin, unless you're using glossy or black colour, like the zen style.
  3. If you just bring back a few it should be ok, i didn't pay tax for mine.
  4. So have you installed them? Have been using? I'm a 'housewife' thinker, so I won't like this kind of lighting, it looks troublesome to clean up and 'not too elegant' to me, and so many lights if they take turn to spoil i'll have to replace them one by one. It seem not bright enough for me and my kids. But I'm curious to find out whether you still like them or find them practical after using it.
  5. Yes, false ceiling and downlights only. Do it in the living room only.

    Curtains Help

My advice is don't spend too much on curtains. http://mylittlecasa.blogspot.sg/2012/10/how-to-save-on-curtain-costs.html
  8. Hi, are u the one email me on my blog? I'm glad that it provides information to you. Regarding the stain in your pic, I doubt it can be cleaned as it seemed some sort of chemical stain which damaged the tiles e.g. bleach. U can either change it or put a carpet to cover it.
  9. I tot normally your ID would quote you the tiling cost inclusive of the tiles. You just need to go choose the tiles. If you like the ones you've seen from soon bee huat, just let your ID know and your ID will get the same for you. My advice is don't commit first.
  10. normally is not included. or some might quote you the price by embeding the cost in the door. Ya, ask the seller.
  11. My kitchen sliding door: This is how the track looked like: at the bottom there is this holder: for other pictures see here: http://mylittlecasa.blogspot.sg/search/label/Door if you're talking about kitchen, I would prefer sliding door, as it saves space. But I do agree when something wrong with the top hung track, it'll cost you $ to repair. But generally, i find that all the problems relating to my glass doors' hinges or the track, is due to human, if you take good care of it, it'll not give you any problems.
  12. You mean this type? The carpenter can do it. can do for cabinets or wardrobe, the cost is slightly more expensive.
  13. I don't suggest L box as it accumulate dust, cove lights are heaty. Still prefer my current downlights.
