My little one is starting to climb onto any structure he can get his little hand one... need to install window grilles which we have put off for quite some time. I saw some thin window grilles (thinner than most aluminum ones frequently seen around the suburbs) previously from some other units I passed by, not sure where I can get them from? Thanks!

that is true but based on my air level physics and discovery channel level of science, my impression is that it is easier to control electricity and pressure with modern day technology than to control how a chemical reaction (burning process) occurs in an uncontrolled environment since it needs oxygen in the environment to burn. Anyway, which ever technology is choosen, there are pros and cons, it's just a matter of how much you weigh in on each factor. I'll leave my cold shower days right back during my 2.5yrs of NSF life ....thank you very much

it's not really unfounded, or else why would the citygas sales person say that the unit must be installed outdoor or in unenclosed area like the yard? Reason is simply no one can guarantee that leakage will never occur at the joints which are mechanical weak points in the structure as well as the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning from the burning of fuel in enclosed environment.

My kitchen cabinet's handle-less doors need to use such mechanism to operate... Here's a diagram on how it's installed and used: Essentially, when you close the door softly, the magnetic portion will attract the metal plate installed on the door itself. Then you will have to press in to latch it close (1 click sound). When you want to open the door, you press on the door panel and it will unlatch (another click sound) and the spring inside the mechanism will push the door out so that it creates a gap for u to get a grip on the edge of the door to pull it open. My ID calls them "Tic-Tac" doors....i guess it comes from the sound these doors make during operation. The ones supplied by my ID...very similar in structure but in white: The problem is that the ones supplied seem quite flimsy and the feel of the mechanism in operation (ie. the latch and unlatching portion) is iffy....i failed to open the door in 1 smooth action 1/2 the time i tried.... Is there any better brands or models out there that someone can recommend? It need to handle very tall cabinet doors ~2.8m height... Thanks!

sorry to bother u again, but do you have the height of your cabinet with the laminate joints? if u have a picture of the jointline it will be even better as i can compare the workmanship of the carpenter. Thanks!

Oh...so yours is similar situation as mine...i initially thought it was a scratch.....had a big conference with my ID and carpenter..... in the end my ID said she will source for a customized 1 piece laminate that can go beyond 8 feet?...i'm not sure if there is such a laminate..we shall see.... The issue here is that the ID did not forewarn us that there will be a jointline due to standard maximum runs of laminate. If we have been told, at least we can decide if we can live with the jointline or chose a different cabinet design to avoid the jointline.

I'm not too sure....cos my cabinet is about 3m....which is considered higher than the usual ceiling height.

Hi! I love your white kitchen cabinetry. I am doing something similar for my reno but have come up against a problem during the reno. My ID and carpenter claimed that the my full height cabinet is too long for the standard white laminate length...thus there is a need to join 2 pieces of laminate which i find unacceptable. My qn which i hope u can help with is that what is your height of ur cabinet? Is your laminate in 1 piece or joined? Do you have a picture showing a full view of the longest continuous height of the white cabinet? And what brand and model is the laminate used? Thanks!!

Well i think most people will agree with your statement but the problem in Singapore is that even if you are willing to pay, you may not have things done on time or nicely..... So it all boils down to luck that you get the right ID to do the job...
