  1. Go to DAMA. Google for contact.
  2. A cheap and safe way to clean the grouts and tiles - VINEGAR. Mix the vinegar with water (50/50) or even thinner (more water). Apply the mixture on stains or grouts and leave for 20 minutes or more, it wouldn't damage your tiles. Use a toothbrush to brush the grouts, or spounge to clean the tiles. You may find the stains or dirts become lighter or clear depands on how staburn the stain is. Wipe with clean warm water and dry the surface with clean cloth. Repeat this if you need better result. Try it. It works! Cheaply..

  5. May I know where could I buy the cut to size veneer plywood? If possible the name of wood workshop. Need to use it to cover some part of the well. Million thanks
  6. You have to consider the facts before you decide what to do.. 1. the cost of hack and overlay, usually the diff of $500+/-. 2. the height of the floor level. 3. the durability of the old tiles undernearth, will it pop or creak? These are issues I could think of. My final verdict is: hack and lay new tiles for peace of mind. Afterall, is already 28 years old, anything could happen and is tough to follow up. And you need to live for a min.of 5 years. Think carefully, my friend...
  7. Thanks for your advice. I am trying to work out with them on all aspects to get things done. They need approx. 5 days to get it done. Most likely might do it during school holidays due to the my boy having sensitive nose since young and been spending quite handsome amount on medical bill. And I don't want to risk my boy's health. I'll be in full time observation on this REDO to make sure that this is the final touch and case closed!! The big headache is: How long will take for the dust to settle down? Haiz...
  8. The senior staff from the co. came twice and trying to work out a plan to fix the aftermath. Due to we are staying in, need to work out the timing to fix up the error. Still no sure what to do with the floor? Could be a big mass if need to redo the whole flooring again.. Sigh..
  9. To brother fairyland: If the so call ID representing a company to engage a reno job, is his responsiblity to ensure the job done to the customer's satisfaction or acceptable finishing. I am not here to make someone losing his ricebowl but the fact is, he has to how to secure his rice bowl. I think everyone in this world need to live, and I know all of us are trying very hard to secure our ricebowl. I am not sure what is your relationship with this ID or company, but I think I have the right to ask for what I paying for, is that right? Brother, when things are not happen in your life, do not use words to talk things over, SAID IS EASY THAN DONE!! Please do not PM me any more on this issue cause I don't think you are in the picture. I have given 7 weeks for the reno for all floor and washrooms with painting, is it too short time frame for all these for a big firm? Lastly, anyone may lost his or hers ricebowl in any trade if he or she is not doing their part unless otherwise with certain issues that someone able to live on, if you know what I mean.. I think if someone wants to do the business right, they should know what are the dos and the don'ts. A simple food stall can run a biz for years and a restuarent can close down within months, that means something is wrong with the biz operator.. Think again...
  10. I always feel that you pay for what you get. Due to my profession in the service industry, I perform the best result for what I charged. So I think those people who ask for higher quote will provide the better quality. This chap was recommended by a close relative and seems like he could perform the jobs I required. I am too lazy to ask around for more quotes as I feel that is a waste of time. The whole floor plan was totally done by me and all he need to do is to follow up with the reno with some positive advise. Things going well for the first week and later it became a standing from week 2 to week 4. Some jobs was carry out without an on site discussion and things are not in place. Highlighted some issues before the work was complete but still never get things straighten. Start to rush the jobs a week before I wanted to move in and till the day I move some of my belonging, works still carry out here and there. e know what is happening and still stay in old place for a few nights. On the night before I need to hand over the key to the new owner, I have to run three trips with my car to move the belongings that we need when we still staying at old place. WTF!! The verdict of this reno is very simple - RELUCTANCE! RELUCTANCE of the people who carry out his duty that causes the in-convenience for all parties. Worthless!!
  11. Hi, hope that you could get a real good ID then a sub standard salesman that know nothing but making stupid sales ideas to ripe you. most off the ideas are the some as your neighbours. I will show you what I done for my place after I sought out everything. Think might be next CNY la..
  12. I hold on to the money now. Waiting for what is the next from them... Every night back to home after work, walk up the stairs and start to get piss again How long can I stand these for the rest of the days am gonna stay?? I still go mambo-jumbo de, how old you think I am? About Telefunken, is on the night I try to register to this forum, all the names I entered are all taken. Still no clue what name to place, happen to spot the old wooden box hifi set that old man left behind after he retired from his tour of duty as a human being, decided to use the old brand name from Germany as the nick for this forum, Bing! No one uses it! Actually hor, you not bad le, still know this brand ah..
  13. When a company starts to run the biz in the early stage, they will try very hard to work the brand name in the market. After when they started to being reconize, they will expand the size of the firm, employ more sale staff, engage more sub-con, storm up big promotions, take in as much as possible works and push to sub-con, sub-con also want to make more $$, then get ah dog ah cat so long if they can perform a little can do job, trains a little here and there, then start to on the job. Thats how things work. End of the day, all these people want is $$ and more $$, who is talking about professionalism?
  14. Ah, you should put up this matter earlier to warn others in order to prevent such thing happen. I think is time to look for some "under dogs" that do a good job but not in the mass. These group are those trying to make a living without betraying their self respect. They always act as low profile, less N.A.T.O. behavior, no trying too hard to sell their services, reasonable quotes and having very high self esteem. If you guys know Henry from royal fanco (sanitary ware), you know what I mean... Still live with defects, and no news from the nutz.. Oh, still can ask for payment...
