  1. I haven't checked this forum for a very long time. I am glad that you have solved your problem. I have some 20 years experience using Ariston electrical water heaters. You must change them every 5-6 years. They are not meant to last beyond it. It's better to change them before leakage occurs. I once had this nightmare experience of it leaking heavily whilst the whole family was on an overseas holiday. We have learnt our lesson too.
  2. Yes, i hve heard horror stories abt this mover too.
  3. This morning I saw my neightbor's tenant using The Helping Hand to move his household items. Surfed the internet and discovered that it is a Church Ministry that provides jobs to ex-drug addicts and prisoners. Has any1 used their services bfore???
  4. Hi Chunky Monkey Thanks for your reply. Actually I was specifically referring to the pre-ordering of furniture and not other stuff as there would always be a need to pre-order some things. It is best to buy exquisite wooden and leather furniture on a 'as displayed' basis as the burls and grains are unique. BTW, U've a lovely new house at TM.
  5. Hi Silver88 Thanks a million for your feedback. OK, the saleslady returned my call and said that they had one but it was not the natural wooden color of my order. She further explained that the store must had OVERSOLD and so sorry that the CNY shipment did not contain my order too. Wah like that one! That leaves me with the only option - take the remaining piece and cut loss. Actually, the saleslady sound very nice but GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER. Learnt a lesson : Don't pre-order. Order and take delivery ASAP. Cheers. Juz visited your reno blog. Wow, lucky U! 3-yr YOUNG flat with good view.
  6. Hi Forumers Has any1 bought beds from Fantasy Waterbeds at Furniture Mall?? 2 months ago, I bought a superior single wooden framed bed from the shop but told them that delivery will have to be deferred until my renovations are over. This past few days, I had been calling them to confirm the delivery date. They kept saying : "CNY shipments are coming but we can't confirm the date. My boss is out of the office..................blar....blar...." Has any1 encountered this with them??? Will appreciate your response.
  7. Dropped by vhive 2day and found that it now stocks slim shoe cabinets (20 cm width). 3 models. Prices are bet $100 - 200.
  8. Hi summerholiday and ranval9 Thanks a million to both of U for your generous assistance. With the help of another forumer, zirhk3355, I have figured out that one is a control for temperature and the other is for water pressure. All of U are very kind to respond to my call for help. Hve a Gd Sunday!
  9. Hi zirhk3355 Thanks a million. I am so glad that I have gotten a response. I had figured that one setting is for temperature but it never crossed my mind that the other control is for water pressure. Never imagined that water pressure could be controlled! I was afraid that my Thai maid would get scalded. Oredi I cannot communicate with her and I had never used instant heaters. Once again, thanks.
  10. Hello Forumers I have juz installed a 707 Protek Instant Water heater in the maid's room. Never had maid b4 and aso never used instant heater b4 too. The contractor threw the box away without giving me the instruction manual. Juz need forumers to help explain how to operate the 2 buttons in the heater. Will really appreciate any assistance. Thanks-in-advance.

  12. After reading this thread, I tested the water in Nov and turned away from Ho Bee. They sound so disorganized........Agree got head but no follow-up one.
  13. I c. I c. Thanks alot. Still undecided abt the lazboy...........sometimes sianz but sometimes ethusiastic abt it. It's the cost that is deterring me. The leather is soft genuine leather.
  14. Hi Toonsim Wow, that's a awesome shoe cabinet!! It's a real eye-opener, never saw anything like this! Very functional and so cleverly designed. Me, Very very impressed hor! Cheers.
