  1. 1. u can go to hardware store and buy the wall putty. Use the wall putty to patch any holes with ur fingers and use a scraper to smoothen. Wait for it to dry liao then u can paint over. They are water soluble, so if u make a mistake, can just use a wet cloth to remove. 2, 3,4 Actually I will recommend to paint sealer in ur whole house. Reason is that sealer will protect ur walls from external moisture. My flat last time no paint sealer, so after a few years, mold start to grow and will see lots of insects that feeds on mold on ur wall. These buggers are very strong. Spray insecticide, few days later they reappear. Need to use bleach and wipe the walls. But the problem comes back after a few months. Sealer is very smelly though. Just go to hardware store and ask for sealer. No particular brand. I would paint 2 coats of sealer then finally the paint. Make sure u allow 1 day to dry for each coat. If u super impatient, can go buy a hot air gun (or a hair dryer). Toilet can use normal paint bah. Oil based paint are very messy to paint and to clean up. The "wash and wear" series are quite resistant to moisture though. It is good practice ventilate ur toilet anyway, so ventilate it after bathing to remove moisture. actually, Nippon paint got contractors to help u paint. u just bring ur floorplan, choose the colours. They will bring their staff to paint for u. They will supply all equipment, so u just pay can liao http://www.nipponpaint.com.sg/services/professional-painting-service/pricing
  2. u can spray paint, just make sure u use paint that is for metal surfaces. However, paint on metal will inevitably peel off after a while. The proper way is go and do powder coat. This one needs to be done at the factory, so need to dismantle the gate. It's more expensive than spray paint
  3. Make sure u have some means of pulling the power cable into the seatee.
  4. ur mobile internet reception has nothing to do with ur fibre broadband. fibre broadband works on the physical fibre cable that is deployed to your flat. mobile broadband works from the wireless gateway deployed all over the island. Hence, there is no such thing has a "better" fibre broadband provider in XXX area. The only thing u need to check is whether opennet has deployed and enabled the fibre access point in ur house. If so, u can just go "shopping" and see which ISP's pricing or packages meets your needs. If the fibre access point has not been activated, u can either wait for it to be activated or sign up for cable broadband or ADSL for the time being
  5. Do u have a contractor? he can help u remove the old aircon and patch the holes. But, since u dun intend to install a new air con, what I would do is I would diy remove it. I dun think it will be too tough to remove the fan coils and the pipings and to patch the holes . The only challenging part is probably the condensers as they are heavy, big and mounted outside. If ur flat comes with an air con ledge, then u can probably get another friend to help to carry it in. If it is mounted on the wall outside, then I probably wun try to diy.
  6. installing a new window needs HDB approval one
  7. Granite top is expensive. The Granite top for urs shld easily cost > $1500
  8. Small claims is useless. If they dun want to turn up, there is nothing you can do. Small claims have no legal powers. CASE will advise u to either go small claims or seek ur own lawyer.
  9. If the TV just flicker without turning off/on, then most likely is due to electrical interference. When u switch on an appliance, it might generate a magnetic/ electrical spike. This interferes with the signal cables. Sometimes just merely moving or reorganising ur cables will solve the problems.
  10. I think the it is normal that the hob creates a humming sound when it is on. A read online and there are other hobs that makes a sound as well. After a while got used to it already. So not so much as issue already. The hob is still good. Water boils in < 1 min
  11. My Species sofa also peeled after 1 year. The guy told us it is full leather etc. all bullcrap. IMHO, leather does crack, but will not peel like this. Whatsmore. I recommended a friend to the shop and her sofa also peeled.
  12. Hi Are you still using your TH-IB229? Can I check if ur hob got any buzzing sound while it is being used? Mine got a buzzing sound while cooking. While it is not too loud, it is a bit irritating at times Have tried others and they seems quiet compared to this taiyo one
