Just a thought, what do you guys expect from your ID?

1) To check on the progress of reno everyday?

2) To monitor and be the first to check the worksmanship for the reno?

3) To ensure wall and floor tiles are free of paint?

4) On-going renovation work does not stain/scratch/deface completed ones?

5) To spot/rectify flaws and update up automatically, instead of having you to spot renovation and called to ask for it to be re-done?

6) Provide design that their workers are produced at least 90% perfection?

I'm not sure if I am too harsh/ expect too much of my ID? What do you guys think?

Mine did mms me photo of reno update whenever possible.

Workmanship wise, sometimes we owners are more picky and can pick up more things....then inform the id to rectify.

I think its reasonable to ask for completed work that matches what you are paying. If the work done is at a big discount, then why should customer pay full fees for partial work done?

more importantly is the ID is contactable and rectify the problems identified within the shortest period since reno cannot be 100% perfect. Even if the ID is the main con, do not depend everything on them, do your own check too. it will be easier to rectify if spotted early. e.g. if they paint the walls with wrong colour, at least can stop them on time.

but also, do own homework or check with relevant authority. some ID will try to "scare" you with certain rules and regulations.
