Square Rooms In Balestier Rd

Recommended Posts

hi there,

I used Square Room for my prvious flat, overall ok with the salesperson's service, however find that their work & quality is not as good.

I pay 30K for doing a "no design" home, i only did those consider the most basic that a house should have. Very very X!!!! ( I dun even have cornis okie... ) Nothing about design. :(

Paints starts to crack, faulty lightings ( downlights ) etc...

Currently looking for ID to do my 2nd home, I will not go back to them... cos was a newbie the other time on doing reno and believe the person have ketot us alot for being dumb dumbs on reno. :bangwall:

I went around shopping for an ID firm to renovate my apartment, and eventually engaged Jimmy's services from Square Room. I recommend Jimmy's service to anyone who values these attributes from your designer : someone who is responsible, flexible and have no problem going the extra mile for you. To quote an example, i bought a toilet bowl that eventually did not fit, and Jimmy had no problem hauling the toilet bowl back to the shop and returning with one that has the right fit. The toilet bowl is not at all light, and this is not something he needs to do, but he did. I thought by sharing my experience with this post may benefit home owners still shopping around for your ID firm.

is the toilet bowl u brought from the shops he referred to? if it is, such service is provided by the toilet shop. My ID told me that when he brought me to buy. He said its not the cheapest in singapore, but for sure not expensive but competitive prices. In the event of buying wrong thing or wanna exchange, only need to inform the ID and he will liase with the toilet shop, without the charges.

i change my items twice when the size abit too big at shower area. What if the ID is a lady, then how? then how to carry? LOL.... Also, to re-deliver is abt $40. He might choose to absorb yr cost.

my wife & i are privileged to engage jimmy low who is a manager from square room id at balestier to manage our reno of a new 4rm bto.

At first, we were wary as we have read some negative reviews from this forum. In the end, we decided to go ahead to engage jimmy as we felt comfortable with him & my wife felt he can be trusted and rely on.

jimmy did not disappoint us. We are very pleased that his staff/subcons finished more than 95% of our reno in less than 3 weeks( 17 working days to be exact) :good: when the original schedule was to finish in 5 weeks. workmanship for carpentry, etc are good and to our satisfaction. My 2 kids are also happy with their custom-made study tables/waredrobe.

Good Job, Jimmy. No regrets at all engaging square room id.

It has been more than a year since we had our 4 rm bto flat renovated by jimmy low.

Sometime late last year, our water heater broke down. As it is still under warranty, I contacted jimmy. As he was overseas, he got his subcon to repair the heater within 2-3 days.

Overall, we are very satisfied with the prompt after-sales service.

Thanks for sharing! I noticed that they seem to have bad reviews previously, but now are much better? We engaged them recently as a friend recommended them. Hopefully it all turns out well!

Dear everyone;

I have used this ID company and here is my honest feedback.  For your reading pleasure.  I must admit I was foolish to have selected this ID firm thinking they were cheap.  Let's get started:

1. During design stage was handled by one of the directors, Richard Pang.  Then haphazardly passed over to a worker called Jimmy Low!  In short alot of talk but when come to implementation, they will not deliver to your specifications.

2. Don't let them lock you by simply writing short statements like, to design and build Cabinet.  Make sure they specify every dimension, every material they going to use and every detail of the door type or the glass they going to use.  they use third class sub contractor (PRC) who have not got a clue what wood work is all about.  the workmanship is very poor! Very.

3. They have a person called Jimmy Low who is totally useless.  He is a smiling Tiger.  he has no clue but will slaughter you if you try to do additional things not in the contract. best still, he will say they way the contract is written, he understands it that way and not the way you told them. They will over charge on everything additional not in the contract.  Be very careful with this guy.

4. They are just a middlemen, they do not have any workshop.  I was initially told, that they have a shop in sungei Kadut that produces  their carpentry, to find out it is a third party who they very conveniently call they own!

AVOID EVEN IF THEY CHARGE YOU 20% OF WHAT OTHERS CHARGE YOU! BE WARNED AND CIRCUMSPECT ABOUT THESE GUYS.

TOTALLY REGRETTED
