Mansionette In The East

hee..can help me to take the pic and pm me? I wanna show my contractor that it can be done..lol.. He did ask me before if I saw ppl put their compressor at that area.. So now die die must show him :notti:

Sure, but got to wait til weekend coz I only visit my house on weekends to settle outstanding stuff. The rest all throw to my contractor to settle. :P

But hor.. best is still to compare with your neighbours. Go check other levels too. If nobody puts their compressor outside, there must be a reason. Even if you have a pic of my compressor, also no use in that case. If really scared, just call your HDB branch office to confirm. They may refer you to the guy in charge of your block bah.

Starting with the messy pictures during the first few weeks of reno~ hacking just done and boxups done, some tiling started.

Entrance

entrance.jpg

Dining Room from Kitchen

Kitchen wall was hacked away to provide more light for the kitchen.

dining_room.jpg

Kitchen

Pipes ran all over the place, gave us headaches when doing the kitchen cabinet.

kitchen.jpg

Wash Area

No WC! Used to be a giant dragon pot inside.

Living Room

All the tiles delivered! But all tilers busy.. just had to wait.

living_room.jpg

Gonna do a feature wall in the recess.

Balcony

Dirty walls above!

balcony_above.jpg

Cement screed just done. No wall tiles.

balcony_left.jpg

Stairwell

Boxed up the recess areas on the wall since we can't really reach them easily to clean.

Room Entrances

Level 2 corridor with room entrances, as well as our shifted common toilet entrance.

level2_walkway.jpg

Common and Master Toilet

Got KDK ventilation fans for each toilet. About 50++ bucks each.

Common Toilet

Master Toilet

Bedrooms

All look the same, so just post 1 only. Every room had odd recess area at the top and bottom of the windows. Going to box up all those on top (felt that it was too small and too much effort to make storage space and we didn't want to clean that area) and optionally have cabinets at the bottom.

Also installed new casement windows.

Wash Area converted to new Toilet

This is the most expensive area in the house to reno! All the piping, boxup, tiling, wc and fittings in the tiny little area.

Corner sink is lagi cute, 30cm only.

The WC is Neptune, more expensive than my other WC+sink combined...

Balcony

Front was actually blocked by new HDB blocks... so view the side better la...!

The balcony lights were installed wrongly.. should have been vertical. Already fixed by now.

balcony.jpg

Dining

Philips ceiling lights installed. ALL the ceiling lights are of the same model. :P Doesn't really flicker.. very interestingly, it just gets brighter slowly with very mild stuttering.

dining.jpg

Kitchen

Still empty... the carpenter really took very long.

kitchen1.jpg

Stairs

Stairwell cleaned up with just one wall light with 2 switches. Railing will be painted later.

stairs_lvl1.jpg

Room Entrances

We have different bright colours for each room. Many people thought the colours would be glaring or not conducive for sleep.. but I sleep with my eyes closed! Anyway, master bedroom is turquoise, still happy with that~~

Common Bathroom

All fittings in! Mirrors from IKEA, stainless steel fittings from Song Cho. Very expensive... but sturdy, never worry about pressing hard on them.

bathroom_common.jpg

Master Bathroom

Much bigger shower space than common bathroom. Otherwise, identical fittings.

bathroom_master.jpg

Master Bedroom

Happy with the colour! Generally all the rooms have 2 walls with a distinct colour and white for the other 2 walls.

master_wall1.jpg

Study

A bit darker than expected, but we'll do some deco here n there to brighten it up!

study_wall1.jpg

Bedroom 2

The bright cheery room, some people say will tear in the eyes if sit inside for too long. We shall see...!

I like your bathrooms, and kinda awe struck with the simple white and minimalist change the simple white tiles made for your lower level.

I think for your bedrooms the colors are just outstanding - but much too brave for me to have in my own place.

Hope to see how it looks like lived in! I like your reno, will return for updates.
