You did the storeroom rack yourself? Wow

How muchie?

I got it from Thian Lee. they do delivery and installation but I wanted to do it on my own so decided to self collect from crawford and install. I paid about $400 for this config but it was worth it. I didn't like those cheap ones as the edges are quite sharp plus I wanted a more light weight design. This shelf is made in Japan and the shelves are very sturdy plus they're 'boltless'.

I did install some LEDs for the toilets and TV console. Yes, they're really cheap from ebay compared to what they sell in Sim Lim.... like $5/m compared to $20/m.

Wanted to install additional LEDs but I bought too many lights before I started renovation and still have a few more that I can't find places to install.... didn't really make sense to buy more LEDs.

BTW, I realise that the lights I installed for the TV console especially is under-utilised. They look good but you probably won't turn them on most of the time.

Color changing LEDs are cool but not for my home I guess, too fancy.:)

my place too much lights .. actually i also think will under utilised but got more control lor ..

Well that sort of wraps up the stuff I DIY for my house. It's a lot of hard work but you get lots of satisfaction after that.

This journey gave me many new experiences which you will not get in other things you do. The most important thing when you DIY is that you know this is your precious home.... do it well or don't do it yourself at all.

Hi alant18, kudos to you for doing a great job on DIYing your home. Folks like you are becoming rare these days.I'm a DIY guy myself but my place is old so it's mostly repair and replacement works for me. And I certainly agree that it's a truly satisfying pastime!

Anyway, I think that the trunking for your wall-mount fan power cord would probably be less distracting if you ran it to the edge where the walls meet and then down to your power outlet. This is just my opinion.

Not sure if you have already do so but have you thought of adding LED strips to your deco. I have bought from a on line vendor LED strip that you can DIY on your own as it comes with remote control and UK plug power adaptor. Price is by far cheaper than those I can find in Singapore. Already installed them in both living and mbr light coves. Will be installing them at TV console and kitchen cabinet once the carpentry is up next week. PM me if you need the contact.

you are really good at all of this, congratulations on the amazing work you have done so far. In case you are looking for some more tips on DIY works you can have a look at this site http://blog.armchairbuilder.com/8517/build-your-own-home-ebook/. I would like to ask you how much the lighting cost, together with the ceiling works? also how do you find having black kitchen cabinets? it looks very modern but i was told that it is not very visible and makes it hard to find things inside? I am asking because I am in the process of doing these works myself. Thank you in advance for your help
