Horrifying Reno Service By Titian Creative

Hi all

This is my disappointing and nerve-racking experience Titan Creative (ID located at Balestier Rd).

My reno of a 3 rm HDB flat was left uncompleted for more than 1/2yr. The boss of the company Tony promised that the reno will be completed by Christmas last year, but it was delayed till New Year, Chinese New Year, and I even had to cancel my birthday celebration in Mar this year.

I had brought up my concerns to ID Yovin several times to no avail. Even the defects which I had pointed out to her were all left untouched. Subsequently she told me that she had tendered her resignation and for me to liase with her boss direct. Needless to say, all items were left undone. After a delay of 1/6yr, I had decide to engage lawyer's help on this matter.

What's ridiculous was, the boss Tony, replied to my lawyer that 1) I was often uncontactable, 2) my complains were about the 'Chinese workers' and not about the reno, 3 fabricating of TV console is never in the contract (my lawyer had shown him the contract stating the dimemsions and pricing of the console) and 4) will install the cooker hood Out of Goodwill and many others. In short, there was no hint of apology in his reply.

In a nutshell, I am posting my plight as I do not hope to see anyone going through the same hassles as me.

sorry to hear this. Such situations just make it difficult for us customers to trust this industry.

Can you share with us more details on what has been done, what's left to done?

What's the total ocntract size and how much have you paid already? I suppose you have paid all 100% already? that's why you are in this situation?

Use Small Claims also to nail this company...

Basically, for the past 1/2 yr, Titan only did hacking of walls, cement screeding of floors, tiling of toilets. Lights were installed halfway, switches were installed partially. Downlights were installed but not the dimmer. TV consoled wasn't done (as the boss Tony claimed it was never in the contract). I had planned an insland kitchen but after the hood was brought, Yovin told me that she is not able to install it due to some structure problem. So now the island hood (fully paid for) is now a white elephant at home. I had advertised for its sale for some time but so far no takers. Total amt paid to Titan was $20k (which I had scrimed and saved for) and $2k for unusable island hood.

I am not sure what can be done now but thinking that he can get away with my money without doing any work, not being apologetic at all really irked me. I had lost weight and had bouts of insomnia and depression.

But I am glad that this post went out to you all, so that you will not go thru the same unhappiness as I did.

Maybe u can provide some pics to corroborate your story...sometimes, critical posts that come from nicks with low post counts are suspect...

2nd phase of reno has began with another contractor. Dun think there is a need to show proves here. My main concerns- no one to be in same plight as me, some better advices of what I can do to claim back the some of money which I had paid for nothing.

If you decide to engage his service and it turns out well and good, by all means.

just chanced upon this thread.. my frd also used them. i guess he didnt check out the reviews from renotalk abt this company!

the id did not even complete the project! lots of money lost and works was at the hacking stage. the sub cons they used were lousy too..

but heard he combined with another drowning company, unplesant experience for those under titan .

No homeowner deserves such an awful experience.
