Start Of A New Begining

Recommended Posts

Got my key in February 2014 and appointed my ID in March. Been through few reviews, quotes and visiting real sites of potential IDs workmanship before we conclude on the one recommended in this forum. It's my first posting with image and hope the standard unit plan from HDB works..... :)

3D design not yet finalised but we had the location of the aircon fixed and installed. "unfortunately", we engaged the "famous" provider in this forum without reading through the negative feedback. We pressed on with communication with the sales person and service manager and things work out well. My post on my experience as follows:

http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/14091-best-tech-aircon-imm/page-3#entry848049

some pictures of my installation done 2 weeks back.

Agreed and offered insulation during the purchase from sales

Thick trunking used, may look horrible for some but to me its one trunk instead of 2 trunks running

http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag351/lawda/WP_20140329_008_zps8f96d12e.jpg

installer does put in good point, he actually runs the full trunking length across the wall even though there's no need to as the pipe is at the middle of the wall. Reason, 3/4 trunk running across the wall will be very obvious. Full length and after painting is done, the trunk will look less obvious and blend in with the beam.

http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag351/lawda/WP_20140329_006_zps47fb14d2.jpg

To ease my fear of condensation and leaking pipe, installer advise to shorten the route for water to be drained. Simple law of physics which we returned to the teachers in search of aesthetics...

ID gave me a surprise with his good gesture and taste. He actually upgraded my plain original colour aluminium grille to white coloured powered (slightly costly) just to ensure the overall design looks good :)

Was away for 10 days and didn't manage to liaise closely with ID on the carpentry design. However, ID did email me the design for the kitchen. As for bathroom 1, measurement and site visit has been done by carpentry. Will be providing my 3D design soon.

Had long discussion with ID yesterday on paint selection and the carpentry design. Hope output will be great!

Nothing was basically done over the weekend when i went back to check my unit but was kinda surprised during yesterday evening visit - lights are installed (not completed - outstanding LEDs and T5 lights). Took the opportunity to check out the tiles and marked out all issues i found for my ID to follow up before carpentry. Spent a good 2hrs yesterday to check and mark out the areas.

Window grilles are all completed for the missing portion @ living, MBR and the access to a/c ledge. First coat of chosen paint are up and more to come..... Pictures to show on the progress :P

Living room with different moods from the led lights (pending remaing leds and cove lightings) + completed grilles

Had some issues with the grout lines and had ID & PM to resolve before the carpentry is in this week. Had meeting with PM to verify the stuff completed last evening and notice the doors are installed. Looks good and to my liking... :)

Doors for the rooms:

Are you installing wooden doors for toilet? Do be careful. I gotta change my wooden toilet doors to aluminium doors because the door and door frame have disintegrated as the previous owner did not take care of the doors! :(

yes, i did the wooden door for common toilet but i did a segregation between wet and dry area. Hope it will help to prevent the door from decaying and disintegration. BTW, my door frame is metal from HDB, not the wooden frame type you mentioned.

Am installing glass door for the MBR toilet though.
