I would like to know if anyone here replaced their Normal HDB doors with sliding doors to save space.

I was planning to do so and want to know whats the pricing like..

Your current swing door frame will not match sliding door.

your best option is bi-fold wooden doors.

I knock down the entire wall with the wooden door then replace the entire partition with sliding tempered glass door.

Advantage:

1) Looks better aesthetically

2) Save space- glass is thinner than wall and sliding door allow space behind the door to be utilised

Disadvantage

1) Poor sound proofing

2) Air-con leak

Am i happy with the result?- **** YES!

i tried before using sliding door. it save space but if you have children it is not a rite choice as they will keep playing with it.
