Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

We have just made purchase for a 5room unit at Sgoon North. So excited about it. Will gradually update with reno progress and finally the shifting in process!!

All ideas/ suggestions are welcome. :)

I love the location but the downside is ...my flat is more than 30 years old.

Need some serious renovation.

Tell me about it.

Mine is 1/2 way there and hopefully no more hiccups and all defects can be resolved and handover by this week.

Hello All ~~~

@Lovescandi, It's at Sgoon Nth Ave 4. Near the Mosque.

@ttx143, CONGRATS to u too! This unit is totally bare. NO build-ins. no kitchen cabinets. Nothing at all. Also an old unit. Approximately 25 yrs old. Which ID or Contractor u looking at? I'm getting quotes and designs from Eastern Furniture Renovation and Space Define currently.

Just did the valuation yesterday and got the reno people to look ard and take measurements. Seems like we will have problems hacking the walls (even if it's non-solid black lines) as the walls seems to be prefab.

Anybody has any experience with prefab walls? :)

Prefab walls to my knowledge are not allowed to hack.

You will need PE to certified before you proceed if I am not wrong.

To my knowledge that usually PE certified, HDB will agree to it

You can also request through HDB i think but may take longer time.
