Diy Ways To Cover Wall-Mounted Tv Cables

Recommended Posts

I have made a platform in my room with a mounted TV on the wall. However after all is done I found that the hanging wires are really ugly. I don't want to ask the carpenter I used because he is not really responsive and his work is not as nice as I want it to be. However the door of the platform is such that I can only make one thin covering to cover the wires.

Any DIY ideas how to hide them? Thanks!

My humble opinion.

There is no feature wall, so all you could do is trunking.

A easy and crazy idea is to lay a pattern pipe, but it won't be nice. Less zen and japanese.

If your wall is thick enough, just hack away a long strip , making it deep enough to insert pvc square tube inside. Btw the pvc tube should be thick enough for all your wires to go through. I will plan the pvc tube to exit from the side of the platform bed....just below the switches.

Then cover the tube will with cement putty....and repaint the wall. I am not sure if you get what I mean though. :P

besides carving a cable canal in the wall (which i think may not be legal) you might want to try getting a partition wall guy to build a mini partition or bracket over your platform and conceal your wiring either in the partition or behind artificial flowers in a trough.
