It's been awhile since my last post as not much was done.

But last week they started painting. My feature wall in the living room is the correct colour, correct as in it was what I discussed with my ID. As for the rest of the house, the colour we discussed was a lighter grey but it seemed to turn out in a more blueish hue. Admittedly, when I went down at about 6pm last Friday, there was not so much light so the colour was grey, but when I went at about 2pm on Sunday, in the styrong light, it looked really blue. (The pictures I attached was taken on Sunday. I feel that there is quite a contrast when in the light and in the sahde - you'll see what I mean in the picture.) My ID is going down today to check out the colour to make sure that it is what we discussed and that it fits in with the overall design.

Living/Dining room. The dark wall is my feature wall while the blueish wall is the paint for the rest of the house.

Mbr - The colour here seems closer to what I discussed with my ID.

Kitchen. Colour here also seems a bit closer to what we discussed.

Carpentry will be another couple of weeks, so the next thing I'm looking forward to is the installation of the lights and fan which my ID said will take place this week or next.

The first colour does seem to be much bluer than "grey"... hope it gets resolved soon! :)

Quiet on the renovation front. I settled the layout of my carpentry two weeks ago and everything is being built. In the meantime, my place is being painted as per the last set of photos and this week, they are doing the lighting and installation of the fan. Below are some photos of the partially done lighting (these are all taken by my ID as I did not go down to my place last night).

This is the cove lighting for my living/dining room. As you can see, there is still a lot more to be done. Yesterday (monday) was the start of the light installation.

These are the spotlights for the common bathroom. All my lights are warm lights. I wanted that cozy feel and I felt that warm lights achieved this best.

There's been more progress in the last two days. Went down to my place during lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see the living room fan has installed, together with my track lights. Also, my toilet bowls have been installed too but they have been sealed with tape to prevent anyone from using them. However, I feel that the toilet bowls have been installed a little bit too low. I would be more comfortable if they were about 8-10cm higher.

Question for more those who have done their reno - Is it possible to change the height of my toilet bowls at this stage without major work or do I have to live with it?

This is my ceiling fan and track lights. (Living room)

I just love my fan (from a brand called Spin). This is a close up of the fan.

My toilet bowls. The cardboard on the top contains the toilet seat. Sealed with tape. First picture is common bathroom and the next picture is the mbr bathroom.

Loving the track lights and fan!

Not too sure about the toilet bowls, because yours is wall-hung! most of us just have floor standing ones (which I don't think you can change the height so easily).... probably just ask your ID/contractor? >_<

Forgot to add that I flipped the cardboard up from my shower area in the mbr bathroom and saw this -  my shower area floor trap. Quite unique for me. I really like it!

Your renovation is coming along really well! Love the fan too - you have a rather high ceiling! > 3m?

Thanks @trcd. I really like the fan too. I have to admit, it was an impulse buy when I saw it in a lighting shop. Only after I purchased it did I go and google to look for reviews. There were very, very few reviews. So was a bit worried. I still love the looks, but I will review it when I start using it. And yes, I have pretty high ceilings. Not too sure about the exact height but I think at least 3 metres.
