Check out Pinterest for ideas. Then just pin the ones you like, for kitchen, bedroom etc. You will find that there are certain things you prefer more over others, so from there you can formulate your theme and what you need. Hope this helps! Congratulations on the key collection! :D

It is very kind and nice of you to share with me the above pointers slashmylove! It is indeed very useful especially for my case where I will not be engaging an ID due to budget constraints. My BTO is in Yishun estate so we are quite near!! Haha....

Do share with me any other useful pointers so I can learn and take note when doing my planning... :)

Don’t gun down the idea of an ID so fast. Start with a budget and things you need.

Some things needs to be done before you move in and not after you moved in on a bit by bit basis.

To a certain extend if you need to take a small loan to reno the house, I believe it is still worth it.

This is your home, where you make happy and sad memories, a harbour where you berth your thoughts and base your emotions.

Congrats!! great to hear that from you :)

I guess you can start searching for ideas online for design ideas.

From the design ideas, you see which are the items that you can buy off-shelves (off shelves are cheaper than customised)

I know of several websites for items cheaper and quality is there:

Cutlery: http://thowkwang.com.sg/

Appliances: no comments

Others: Home Design & Decor Shopping app, Qoo10, Taobao, Crate & barrel, Muralart

if you are looking for renovation company, i can intro you my ID too.

Any good recommendation for the following:

- Sofa (Budget: Less than $500)

- Hob and hood

- Sink and faucet

- Mulit-point water heater

- Bed and mattress (Budget: Less than $500)

Also, is anyone of you using hot/cold water dispenser at home?
