With the ever shifting design concepts underlying the “Modern” theme, IntraDesign has once again shown to be the forefront, pioneering a new wave of light-centric design which adds a whole new dimension to the visual artistry associated with interior design.
The living room harnesses its boldness in design from the well defined colour distinctions. Surrounding the plasma television, solid stone tiles add texture to the otherwise plain wall. Careful not to allow for dead space, the console rack beneath the television is illuminated with diffuse florescent white light to take off the sombre tone of the stone wall. The couches in front of the television console have a rattan frame with grey fabric cushions on top, closely mimicking the tropical feel associated with rattan whilst maintaining the modernist touch to the decor. Adding a eclectic touch to the main hall is a chinois lantern to jazz up the hall.

Setting itself apart from the rest of the living room, the dining space boast of two solid wooden benches straddling a wooden table upon which a single table runner is held in place by three candle holders. This dining area sits upon a raised wooden panelled flooring and a large backlit mirror runs parallel to the dining space. This carefully measured balance of the ancient and the modern adds a bold and strong character to the design of the apartment.

The study room sits resolutely distraction free with sobre tones of black and white with a extension from the wall serving as a table and a mounted cabinet above to serve as storage space. Strong illumination from the back of the cabinet ensure good visibility of any documents while a clear working space allows for the deepest of concentration for work.
Moving up to the master bedroom, the use of light wooden flooring is contrasted with the grey and black tones associated with the contemporary interpretation of a modern design. At the far corner of the bedroom sits a muted grey couch accompanied by a lone rattan coffee table which is lit by a light sphere specially selected to create a calm and soothing atmosphere in the room. A textured wall holds up a plasma television and a lone rack and the simplicity of the layout does not allow for clutter to accumulate while keeping to the minimalist ethos of the master bedroom.

The attached bathroom echos this sentiment with the decor consisting of a wooden bench which serves as a waiting area into the stone lined bathroom. The bathroom is functionally divided into the shower area and the sink and water closet area by a glass separator. The shower area boasts of a rainshower feature coupled with a conventional showerhead with a rough granite coloured tiling at that end of the bathroom. A long span brightly backlit mirror is suspended above the minimalist, cubic sink.

The first of the two other bedrooms consists of two single beds separated by a bedside table with joined solid grey wooden cut outs as headboards. Muted in theme and luxuriant in style, the bedroom is both functional and in synch with the style of the rest of the apartment.

The second bedroom adds a playful twist with a striking red and yellow comforter on top of an otherwise staid grey bed. Polished black sliding cupboards playfully mirror these colours in its reflection and adds a unique spin on theme.
This interior design by Intradesign breaks new ground with its interpretation and careful balance of the eclectic with the modern and does a wonderful job with the consistency of tone and style throughout this beautifully designed house.
