Established in 1985, Artrend Design Pte Ltd has grown over the years to become one of the most established interior design firms with a strong team of designers covering a diverse portfolio ranging from commercial to residential properties of all kinds.

Today’s review showcases one of Artrend Design’s latest creations at 20 Jansen Road.

Living

Entering the house, it is amazing how the vivaciousness of nature is captured so aptly in the design of this house. Dominating the hall and dining area, shades of red, brown, green and white break free of conventional design ethos with a spark of nature in autumn. In the dining area, a simple glass table coupled with matching pure white chairs sit unassumingly atop a grey rug. This cosy table for 4 is an integral part of the living room with no seperation from the rest of the living space. Behind the dining area, a grey couch is complemented by a low white coffee table, inviting one to spend many evenings lazing in the living room in the company of family and friends.

Brilliantly separated by slit wooden panels, a small study corner is carved out from the rest of the living room. A recliner sits passively in the centre atop a lush red carpet, undoubtedly a favourite for reading a good book in relative peace while wall mounted tables and shelves provide for working and display space. Running the span of the house near the windows, a small platform allows for flexible use of space for design or as additional sitting space.

dining and kitchen

Adjacent to the study corner is the kitchen. Magnificent in white and silver, the kitchen’s clean and easy to clean look is both charming and utilitarian. A bartop counter and its unique low hanging lights serves as a convenient place to serve food and also helps provide a visual delineation of the kitchen from the rest of the house without appearing restrictive and cloistered.

bedroom

The master bedroom breaks away from the rest of the house with its opulently rich design, tenderly constructed with details. The colour scheme is aptly more muted than that of the living room, providing a more restive atmosphere. Above the backlit headboard, a horizontally textured wall is lighly decorated with monochromatic framed photos, keeping in theme with the room. Small beside tables flanking the bed play host to photos and aromatherapy candles which add an air of serenity to the bedroom.

bathroom

In a palette of pristine white and grey, the bathroom is well lit with uniquely placed lights behind the mirror spanning most of one of the walls of the bathroom. The countertop boasts a stylishly designed faucet while itself doubling up as a discreet toilet paper dispenser at the side near the toilet bowl. Allowing for a dry bathroom, the shower area is seperated from the rest of the bathroom by clear glass while the floor within this wet area is made anti-slip. A rain shower and a shower faucet is present while the side of the bath area provide for a place for one’s toiletries.

As evidenced by the high quality finishings and uniquely tailored design of this house, Artrend Design Pte Ltd is indeed dedicated to its ideals of creating your dream home. Head over to their
