It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We can already feel the festive vibe in the air (and weather) with all the dazzling yuletide trimmings on the streets. Tons of exciting Christmas events await us this holiday season, and if you love soaking in the Christmas spirit as much as we do, here are some upcoming ones that will get you in the mood!
1. Christmas Carousel Market
One of the newest malls in Singapore, Capitol Piazza, will be holding a Christmas Carousel Market for 2 days in late November. Its outdoor plaza will be transformed into a marketplace with local brands selling their original goodies and trinkets.
A great place to do some gift-shopping and Christmas decorating for the home!

2. Christmas Along Singapore River
Enjoy the fireworks display along our country’s beloved river this festive season! The stunning light demonstrations are sure to ignite the yuletide mood in anyone.

12th December – 9pm
26th December – 9pm
Besides catching the fireworks, you can also walk along the Luminous Forest by the riverbank, as the 3 quays will be spruced up with 8-metre high LED Christmas trees. Together with the glistening waters nearby, the scene will definitely make for Instagram-worthy photo opportunities!
The decorations will be lit every night!
3. CRAZY CHRISTMAS - A groundNUTCRACKER
This year, production company Dream Academy is back with CRAZY CHRISTMAS to celebrate its 15th birthday bash. The show will be featuring various acts from well-known characters like the Dim Sum Dollies and Kumar.
As if it isn’t packed with enough entertaining and comical moments, there will even be a localised ballet performance ‘Broadway Beng’ style, sure to bring non-stop laughter to the audience!

4. Christmas On A Great Street
Ahh, Orchard Road – the must-visit spot for tourists. The time has come for our famous shopping belt to look even more spectacular again. Malls like Ion Orchard, Tangs, and Orchard Central are adorned in shiny festive trimmings, with beautiful trees along the stretch.
A grand sight at one of Singapore’s most celebrated places, Orchard Road’s magical ambience is something even the locals should not miss out.

5. A Tropical Christmas On Water
Touted as Singapore’s first and only Boat Light Parade, ‘A Tropical Christmas On Water’ is a treat for all sail-lovers. Registered participants will be bringing their beautified boats to the parade, and you are welcome to watch the ceremony and join the after party at $25 (Advanced ticket). It includes beer, wine, finger food, and amazing views of the Sentosa Boardwalk!

6. Public Garden
We’re so thrilled that Christmas markets are getting more popular in Singapore. Public Garden is back with its annual festive event, and will be showcasing numerous homegrown businesses. From décor pieces, to vintage items and even beauty products, the bazaar will be a fun, one-stop adventure for everyone.

7. Christmas Toyland
The popular Christmas Wonderland at Gardens By The Bay sees a new addition this year dedicated to the little tots. Christmas Toyland is a floral display at the Flower Dome that brings together toys and festive blooms like winter heather and poinsettia. The highlight, an 11-metre-high pyramid decorated with cheery toys, will bring a smile to any child’s face!
Keep a look out for live performances when the classic German carousel converts into a stage for the first time, and immerse yourself in the holiday spirit all around.

8. Christmas Wonderland
We’ve saved the best for the last. Accompanying the Toyland at Gardens By The Bay is Christmas Wonderland, an entire space devoted to the Yuletide season. There will be lots of activities and attractions like an ice-skating rink, Christmas train, and even a 14-metre-tall Helter Skelter Slide!
Making a comeback this year is the European-style Christmas market, which will include wooden huts selling delicate crafts, yummy foods like Dutch pancakes, churros and many more.
