Lets look at some of the coolest office designs in the world now. Thanks to corporate giants like Google and Facebook, unconventional office design is the new standard for modern companies.

If having an uber cool office design can make the top creative talents the world over clamour to work for you, it might be good for you to take a leaf from the design of the following offices.

Google

This one’s no surprise. Google has always prided itself on being a space that mixes business with pleasure. If you’re a Google employee, you’ll probably be very well fed due to Google’s rule that nobody should be more than 100 meters away from food. On top of that, there’s a cafeteria where employees can eat times a day, for free. Plus, if you ever get bored with one Google office, there are many more you can transfer to all over the world since no two Google offices are designed the same way.

Facebook, Palo Alto

Facebook’s 150,000 square foot Palo Alto office is another envy-inspiring swanky office space, which is the result of a company-wide poll. To foster a sense of ownership, some of the walls have been purposely left white to encourage staff to add their own finishing touches. Another architecture wonder from Facebook to look forward to – One of the world’s greatest architects, Frank Gehry, will be designing Facebook’s new Silicon Valley campus. We are waiting with baited breath for the final design.

Pixar Headquarters

One look at it and you know that it’s a breeding ground for creativity. Legend has it that Steve Jobs had a thing about unplanned collaborations and he wanted a space where connections and collaborations can happen organically. As explained in his biography, Jobs said, “If a building doesn’t encourage [collaboration], you’ll lose a lot of innovation and the magic that’s sparked by serendipity. So we designed the building to make people get out of their offices and mingle in the central atrium with people they might not otherwise see.”

Ogilvy & Mather Les Champs-Elysees

For this project, designers from Stéphane Malka Architecture has developed a modular system of transformable furniture, based on cubic elements of different heights. The main idea was to create an office space symbolising contemporary dense city. Very artistic, we must say.

Selgas Cano Architecture

Talk about blending with the environment. The transparent tube-like structure, half-sunken into the ground looks so unexpected yet not out of place, aka a modern cave. With such a panoramic view, you’ll find it hard to keep your eyes glued to your computer.
