Dear residence in Yishun, new or old, let's gather here to share anything under the sun in our neighbourhood. Let me start ; I am staying with my parents in N7 ... And wife n me recently bought our flat in Yishun Central N3 near Northpoint... Can't wait to move in !! We really like this place as there are 2 MRT stations in the estate itself and also the upcoming bus interchange n NSE in few years. The variety of food choices along Sembawang rd, the Seletar Reservior and Bottle Tree... We simple love it !!! Do feel free to share your thoughts and experiences in our neighbourhood ...

Hi your gut instinct is right. Black would look nicer and if the big wall behind is cream/ light yellow, the black bird cages would accentuate that wall and make it the feature wall! Using warm light instead of white light would complete the whole ambience!

Hmm can i just enquire, how come the ID never propose/recommend e colors and tasked you guys to choose instead?

Would want the dog too if we could We will also be using folding doors to enable us to close off the kitchen during heavy cooking Industrial concept may come by way of cement floors and furnishings & accessories Like the idea of using recycled boxes or crates as book shelves, storage space. yea mussels are crazy cheap. I can't bring myself to order mussels and pay the crazy prices outside. As for wine...maybe you guys can consider purchasing from a wine supplier...that is what we do...we get our wines delivered to us...but then again...we drink a fair bit. LOL

Exercise your imagination/knowledge/experience. Cheap vs good concept. I tend to buy products/services with features that suit my needs. Don't pay 'extra features' that I don't use. I've learnt what is 'value for $'. A single food stall which sell multiple varieties, usually 多而不精, I avoid. Majority chases after 'branded' stuff for hope to become minority. 'value for $'? I buy stock when investors 'dump', keep and give when they want. Important: know what your exactly needs or wants.
