Better to declare, else custom officer may ask when they check ur boot. Produce receipt upon declaring, custom officer will convert to sgd and tax 7%. Won't get taxed if ur purchases don't exceed allowed quota. I can't remember how much the quota is. Nways, with 7% GST, still cheaper than buying in sg lo. Hope this helps

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and have been reading through the reviews for hob and hood. I saw that Rinnai's hob and Fujioh's hood has the best combi. I was wondering if anyone has any reviews on the Fujioh FG2792 SV hob? Cause I'm going to purchase one soon. If not, any other recommended brands other than Rinnai? I'm going for 2 burner stainless steel with safety valve. Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi Peter73 and everyone else.. Been busy with the last leg of Reno recently, neglecting this thread.. My Review for Aeratron Fan! The Aeratron Fan is more of a design piece, thus its more of Design over Functions. As compared to the KDK 5 Blades fan in my parents' house now.. Aeratron's max is about 3/4 of the KDK's.. But Aeratron is much quiet.. in fact, almost silent at full speed!! If i on the Aeratron at full and KDK at 3/4, which moves about same amount of air (agar-ation), the Aeratron spins much slower, thus the near silent.. Its more like a strong breeze than strong wind, fan coverage is about 60inch straight down (fan is 50inch).. I got to say, the fans look awesomely gorgeous.. no regrets.. really.. Hope this helps..

Won't tax if does not exceed the limit. Fan is indeed much much cheaper there.

Do you get taxed for bringing it in? I mean, you have to declare it right. Just curious on how much it cost

Welcome to RT. That is a lot of lighting you got there, think you can cut down some when you finalize with your ID. All the best for your Reno.

I agree .... we knocked down the kitchen wall of our HDB, and it made a really big and spacious feeling dining / living area. In fact, the old owners came in and saw it and wished they had done it themeselves!! We love it. The only drawback is if you want to cook smelly food, then you need to install a good hood over the cooking area. We did our renovations one year ago, and our ID/contractor was great. We did whole new kitchen, bathroom, bathroom cabinets, two wall hacking, new built in wardrobes in three rooms, repainting, and new shelving, feature wall, install fans, etc for less than 20k, and used very good quality / brand name materials. PM me if you want the details. Other ways to save money would be to buy all the pieces yourself (ie hob, hood, basins, oven, lighting fixutres, etc) and just get contractor to install. Also, you can get Nippon or Dulux to paint it for you and save that cost. I you place isn't too old, you can overlay the tiles rather than hack them, and that saves cost too. Also, don't get all the anti-slam hinges etc as they are expenses. All the best and enjoy.

Hi, Thank you for your interest in our invisible grille system. The invisible grille system is a new generation of safety grille, it works perfectly as a safety system to safeguard children, unfortunately it does not prevent thieves from entering the premises. Thank you for your query. Please feel free to drop us an email or call us for any further concerns. Thank you!

Hi, I have been interested by these. But, how easy is it for a burglar to cut the wire? I imagine these grilles are more to stop people falling out, than thieves coming in? Thanks for the post.

Anyone kids in Punggol Primary School? Is this school good? Heard that it's 2 sessions, but the CCA not really fantastic. Are they having topical tests after each topic ends? And is there any Student Care nearby operations at 7am - 7pm? There is one student care name HOPE, saw the website indicated operations hours : 730am - 630pm. This student care start work later than others and knock off earlier than others too.
