Hi, I am new to this forum. Please share your ideas or recommendations. Greatly appreciate it! I live in a 5 room HDB in Punggol, I have been struggling for nearly 4 years with neighbours who run and stamp heavily, drag their furniture from common room to kitchen and piano practicing. I've tried talking to them several times and the last ended not very well when the wife shouted loudly at us if we are not happy renting here, then move. Worse still, they claimed that they were not home the whole week. The noise escalated even more after. The worst for the past 9 months was weekend, 530am hard stamping from Master to Common room, back and forth for at least 1.5hrs. Every month now, they would invite some friends over on a Sunday and all the jumping, stamping, dragging and dropping heavy things will happen at the same time. Since we moved in, we could hardly enjoy our home. It is obviously them as we were the first to move in and 4 months later after getting to know my neighbours below and opposite me, they move in. Someone please kindly advice : 1) if they had their ceiling or windows soundproofed? 2) anyway to check if my neighbours are owners? I've informed HDB and RC but was told they can't do anything about it & I think CDRT mediation may take too long. Hope to hear from you. Thank you in advance

Had used the HCL89 from the http://hcl89.byethost10.com site before. I had an issue with my grouts from my resale flat where the grouts were black due to dirt. Tried using the above product and it managed to turn back my grouts back to the natural white grouts. Also tried to use the HCL89 on my kitchen backsplash tiles/grouts and it basically rejuvenated the backsplash tiles/grouts for me back to its original self The HCL89 product seems to work much better than others that i have used before and seems to have to have solved the stained tiles and grouts problem for me My 2 cents

In the past i tried the baking soda/vinegar solution, it made the problem worse, it made white patches on my homogeneous floor Luckily my contractor (one i had previously used), was nice enough to come and change the tiles for me (4/5 tiles) When i asked him how come baking soda had caused these white patches on my tiles, he said the baking soda has a mild bleaching agent inside that would eat into tile's enamel (if you check the contents yes baking soda has a mild bleaching agent as its content) So baking soda/vinegar 100% did not work for me, infact made the situation worse and seems to be more like an old wife's tale from my experience

hi Gan Ling, to answer your question: 1. hacking and redo. hacking typically cost 3-500 dollars. redo wise, its all based on per ft run. some might get a better deal but kitchen cabinets normally cost 120-150 psf run. so if u are doing a top and bottom 10ft cabinet, it cost around 2400-3000. also must factor in table top. at 10ft, it can range from 700 to 2200 depending on whether u are using simple solid surface or branded ceasarstone. 2. hmm... it depends. are u rewiring whole unit or just a portion? 3. by mbr cabinet, do u mean the big wardrobe? if yes, its around 150++ to hack, and based on 10ft wardrobe, its around 2300 for casement. some might get a better deal. 4. I assume urs is a 4rm resale. 1.3-1.5 might be a reasonable pricing. 5. hack 2 toilets and redo? its a big cost. on average, redo one toilet cost near to 4k. 2 toilets will be around 8k. hack both around 1.5k, retile everything around 5.5k. install doors around 500. install toilet bowl and shower set another 500.

Thuggish behavior by unprofessional owners & workers. Overly defensive when obvious shortcomings are pointed out & will not hesitate to rudely hustle their clients with their thuggish demeanor. Agreeable & approachable before contract is penned. Keeps you waiting for supposedly something that is "worth it?" with unending time buying tactics. Justifies their self righteous thuggish behavior, instead of addressing the underlying issues & providing basic service recovery. A credible business would be unafraid of constructive criticisms & take it in stride looking toward the long term sustainability of the business. Even in this very thread they are attempting to bury the voice of their clients with doctored posts from partial sources. All of your former clients are connecting through this very open platform & know their rights. Stop playing the victim. What comes around, goes around. Simply putting it. Do more research before engaging any contractor & Save yourself some peace of mind. Danke

By sealing it i assume you mean to protect it? You can maintain/recondition your granite tiles by using something called HCL89 What it does is that it cleans and reconditions your granite tiles and also helps to create a protection for it so that it always remains new. You can usually get it from from http://hcl89.byethost10.com or http://hcl89.atwebpages.com Hope this helps you out
