GPS can use for walking too? cannot ... but GPS device can ... like mine .. it shows the Block Number and name of the street clearly .. and indicate nearby POI (Place of Interest)block number? street name? ya lor, GPS can show all these informations mah. GPS also can search for what's nearby (eg, petrol stations, temples, restaurants etc). GPS also can search for shops inside a particular shopping mall (eg, takashimaya).

i'm a fan of all credit cards, the points and rebatesjust remember to pay in full and on due date can liao
no lah my bf where got so much money
we took a 4yr loan on the car, shorter repayment period means less interest paid
GPS can also use for walking mah
me never travel on group tours before, still prefer FNE
do you own a car too? then how often you can drive your bf's car? i assume you all dont stay together.
GPS can use for walking too? how? bcos our walking speed is slow then how can the GPS get detected? it need certain speed, right?
-
why not? i know pple who pay for their ride with their credit cardscar loans always flat rate, just that the quoted rate is not effective rate, get it?
we dont really like to use credit cards too often.
then did your bf paid his car in full? i mean using cash.
precisely, can even download europe/america maps and go to the differ POIs
if free and easy tour...lol
provided you intend to drive oversea lor. usually, when we travel and we follow tour group. no chance to drive. we also dont like to drive oversea bcos unfamilar with the roads.

built in not bad lah, if the position is good and comes with voice-enabled guidancecheck out the beemer 7 series built-in one
ya, there's voice enabled guidance. if portable GPS also has mah.
can download other countries' maps mahi thought only malaysia and indonesia maps?
-
if buy those smaller and cheaper cars then can consider pay full in cash. hehe.
-
take loan incur interest mah, it's like paying even more lohif got cash why not pay full, unless like i said you can get at least 7% guaranteed returns lah
of course take loan will incur interest but now all car loans are flat rate liao and quite low liao. if the car cost 100k+ then pay full in cash? i prefer to use the cash to buy a property instead.
-
good lor .. as long can get constant update.built in type is not good enough .. cause u got to look down at the map and look up at the road again ..very dangerous.
built in GPS will look neater as what compassvale mentioned.
portable good that can bring to other countries and use.built in as headset unit good that no need to see messy power cables....
best is have one in the hp and one built into the car. best of both worlds, never get lost.
bring to other countries? only malaysia and probably indonesia lor.

cars depreciate every month whether you pay in full or notunless you can get at least 7% on your investment, you'll lose money taking loan
car loan effective rate is around 5.4% per annum wor
ya lor, cars depreciate every month whether full or not lor. then why paid in full? probably, when you want to sell the car then may get some money back if paid in full. but the money you get back also your money mah.
-
.. i just need to download the file and update to my handfone will do.and free for life time.. unless I change the phone 2 yrs later ..
my GPS also portable type wat..
ya, as i said we can update over the internet (just download the file lor). but we dont really like portable GPS anymore. prefer the built in type. there's another type with the rear mirror and GPS.
-
1-2 yrs ago ... outdate map liao ...TPE towards Changi / Elias Road speed limit change to 60km/hr due to construction ..
the maps can be updated la. aiyo, you dont know meh? just bring to their office and they will update for us or we can update ourselves over the internet.
our GPS is the portable type. now, my hb wanted to change to those built in ones (GPS + stero type).
-
If can pay for the car in full without taking a loan, probably will be much less... hehehe... stating the obvious lolz...cars depreciate every month so no point paying in full bcos you're making a loss every month. might as well invest the money into something else.
Anyone using GPS on your ride ?we've a GPS in our car. we bought it at IT show 1-2 years ago. we seldom use unless really dont know the roads.

Rgds,
James.....
i feel that sweeping is better than vaccum. the floor is more clean after sweeping than vaccum bcos the broom can sweep all the corners.
as for car, cars are quite cheap now so probably you can consider getting a smaller car lor.
-
its like have baby is easy , bring up a baby is hard.hey monthly how much u "feed" the car?
about 2k per month (included all expenses). but every month there's a slight different (depend on usuage). like what applefreak mentioned, if the car needs maintenance on that particular month.
-
Wah Bro noticed you are a veri neat and clean person, can vacuum ur hse three times a week.vacuum 3 times a week is still ok. i sweep the whole house everyday!
there're a lot of dust so i must sweep the floor everyday.

we went yesterday and was very crowded. no carpark at all so had to park at raffles city and walked lor. we didnt get anything bcos we no need anything so just went there to see see look look.
-
nowsaday everybody can owe a car..to buy a car is easy but to "feed" a car is tough these days (ERP and petrol are the killers now).
Ladies(young ladies) = 9 out of 10 are slow but not dangerous. took forever to turn into a BUSY main road. -
i wonder the price for petrol will continue to increase a not? sigh!
-
increase 4cents....hehelast time people say owning a car is a status symbol...
now?
no matter wat car, as long as u are on the road...status liao...
status of having to pay and pay and pay
ya lor. all petrol prices have increased. so heart pain...

Hi Korea, yep, the one I got is without wheels. I just leave the pail in my common bathroom, easier for me to change the water. But then, mine's a 4-room flat, ok for me to walk back n forth to rinse mop. There's also one with wheels (more ex), but I'm not used to bringing the pail with me when mopping. For EA/maisonette, maybe different ...
erm, no wheels then i need a lot of effort to move the pail around in the house when mopping. pail with wheels is very impt to me bcos i need to have the pail nearby when i do the mopping. i cant station my pail at one position then i walk back and fro to rinse the mop.
the photo in my signature is only my living room and i still have another dining room about the same size as my living room. i will faint if pail without wheels.

not only no problem to handle saloon cars, i think if wanna part-time drive mini-school bus also can liao ..some of the MPVs/SUVs really big....
initially, i was not used to drive MPV bcos in bbdc i was used to saloon car (the honda civic) but now ok liao. the only difference is MPV has a longer car body.
Golf cute but fierce heart cox equipped with DSG technology.Tt was my choice but din wan to strap too much $ dw so dropped e idea.
Cash is king
if get golf for OPC is such a waste to park in the carpark to 'rot', manz. this is what i personally think.
-
we arent going for car racing so if start off a little bit slower its alright.
hey korea, by when we mus upgrade our diamond ah?erm, out of topic la. otherwise there might have disputes again.
just one post ok. within 1 year is 100%, right. then second year onwards is constant liao. you better check with sookee.
-
yes agree that regular driving is the most importantthink i've got an advantage coz i sat in my bf's car for quite some time before i took the test
so i'm familiar with all the traffic rules and regulations, no chance for the tester to deduct points
so far find that i enjoy driving SUV the most
MPV a little too heavy so start off a little slower
haha. then i also got advantage too bcos for many years i have been sitting in my hb's car. ok la, at least there's advantage lor.
my hb said once i'm comfortable to drive MPV then shouldnt have problem to handle saloon cars.
-
onenot say those who fail first attempt cannot drive lah
try a few times still not so bad
but 10 times :jawdrop:
think should ban those who fail 10 times from attempting again
think i was very lucky to have a VERY good instructor
he taught me defensive driving while i was still learning
so during the test, nothing is really difficult for me loh
can you imagine he actually made me stop at the holland traffic light (the slope up one) but cannot use hand / foot brake? :)
this is what i call driving lesson
i passed second attempt. but my hb passed first attempt (he passed basic, final and driving all first attempt).
but hor, after passed liao and must drive otherwise skill will turn rusty. i've a friend who passed for 3 years liao and never drive so now she has phobia to drive. once i passed and i drove my hb's car liao. moreover, his car is MPV so rather big (in school we used saloon car mah).
think our society has become so academically-focused that all learners have to do is remember everything by hard and regurgitate during the teststhis is really 'return-to-the-teacher' leh, they forget everything right after the test
i ever kenna a stupid driver who blocked my way in the yellow box
when i toot him, he actually turn and glare at me
some time really tempted to take down licence plate and go report police :)
YES. most women drivers are not as good as men
as women lack spatial skills i.e. ability to judge space
that's why most women can't do parallel parking well
out of 10 times i see a 'stupid' driver, me and bf will say 'women driver' and 9 times we are correct
even my hb also said female drivers are lousy than male drivers. he always "look down" on me lor but he said i'm brave enough to drive bcos some people after passed liao and never dare to drive.
some people they purposely entered the yellow box to block you. they're awared of that but just purposely lor.
-
just see the amount of lousy drivers we have on the road.....all passed their drivingtest wat. But their driving IQ is super low. Just go to SIM during night time and you can see SO MUCH GOONDUs who didnt want to turn out to the main road despite a few metres away already got a stationary car blocking the lane.I have also seen a taxi driver who cant do parellel parking...
i have a question. is it most women drivers are lousy?? most men really look down on women drivers.

eg, i type in ngee ann city then takashimaya will appear. then i also can search for shops inside ngee ann city.
sometimes, we want to know whether this particular shopping mall has this particular restaurant a not then can search from there lor.
