  1. thanks for the compliments. it's actually very simple i wont call it sleek. i did think about doing a raw theme like yours but dare not. haha!

the quote is around 38-40K but not finalised as I changed several things along the way.

money quite well spend, from the look of things you had done.

    happy reno.... cheers.

  2. Thanks! We will be using Formica 2mm glossy white laminate for the main facade, and most like Lamitak or EDL Dark Silver for the carcass and trims.

Since can't afford a 100% stainless steel kitchen just use laminates but not so much that it becomes overwhelming and too trying. Moreover our flat is really dark even in the daytime, so using mostly white will help to lighten up the atmosphere.

Will post images of WIP real soon.

u can use hairline stainless steel feel formica.... if 100% stainless steel too costly.... ;)

i believe it will look gd...

    cheer

  3. Hi...

I also intend to purchase the recess area infront of my unit... but i saw yr msg saying u are still in the process to get your recess area , it is already more the 6 month??????? how come drag so long time? may i know where are u staying , which hdb branch? did u engage laywer to do the documentation? wht is the cost like? actually i hope can complete the transaction together with my 2nd appointment n doing the renovate together...:( Please share with me more about the procedure and wht thing need to take note .thank you so much....

actual fact to purchase the recess area is not ex.

but due to the process with the law firm it add up to quite a sum

hope yours is not bank loan?

    if bank loan

    - need bank approval letter

    - letter from branch office the size of the recess area

    - law firm to submit withdraw of CPF form if you are paying by CPF

    - the rest will be done by the law firm.

it will be good you dropby the branch office to find out more.

for me i give up hope to purchase the recess area.

seem that the law firm is not keen to take up my case.... no advice or follow up from them or whatso ever.... sigh....

    anyway good luck

  5. Dear all,

Can we buy recess area by Cash but not CPF/bank loan?

If we pay by Cash payment then no need to engage lawyer, retrieve the mortgage all over again, right?

    pls advice. Thanks

U still need to engage lawyer whether pay cash or cpf, due to the mortage.

I'm still in the process to get my recess area, is already more than 6 months sigh.... wondering are there people working in the HDB branch????? :bangwall::bangwall:

wondering how to make them work faster???? 8|8|

  6. tks, but I regret 1 mistake in my reno journey, the frosted glass doors in both my toilets... my toilets are small...

MBR toilet glass door can only Pull Out cos if Push in will knock onto my rainshower.

Common toilet glass door can only Pull Out cos if Push in will knock onto storage heater.

My mum very funni, ask me to go and get those 'Pull only' signs and hang on my toilet doors so visitors will know.

N both glass doors were so dirty when handed over to me, I have to 'polish' and clean a few times.

Nice reno u have there :good:

i suggest u get ur ID to install a stopper so when ppl push it will not knock onto ur rainshower.

tat wat happen to my frosted glass door in my toilet, when i push, it will hit the toilet bowl..... :(
