My shower screen from Tau has been giving me some problems, so I called Winson yesterday. He called his subcon immediately and gave me the subcon's number to arrange for a time, and it was fixed the same evening.
Am quite pleased with the prompt after sales service...

I've just moved into Sembawang Green, a new BTO flat, in dec, but the the toilet bowl flushing system has been down every 2 days.
Anyone knows if the new toilet bowls are under warranty?

VRH?so which one is better that go rust-free? need feedback from those who currently have chrome base.
i know most choose stainless steel, but my contractor said is expensive and advise me to use chrome instead. should i or not listen?
I chose chrome, and totally regrets it now. I've just moved in during early dec, and it is starting to rust. Now having headache, cos its such a hassel to replace it.
I'll choose SS if I'm you.

hi,have feed back to kel. anyway let put in this way that what i understand from him.no matter what,he still respond to you guy.didnt he is a respondsible ID.did he MIA? did he excuse himself from defect.let open up your heart how kel treat you all client. i understand of some delay. yes, he is in the fault but did he say irrespondsible wording to excuse himself.yesterday i went down to his show room to give him our christmas gift.As i can see he is in a very tired look and rushing off without got ever have half an hour conversation with him.If have choose him, why not to support him and give him more time.Let open up your heart to speak up how kel treat you client. He is just doing his task to fulfil everyone.Me as his client or friend is not very important now. at least i know he is all in for his client, end up he got this kind of comment.
let open you heart and refresh back.
we should support our choice.
is matter of time rather then MIA
* defect call him to clear it.( small issue)
*let him know to his workmanship to improve it while doing the defect(small issue)
*time given to complete rather then ID mission in action and be come searching for ID(small issue)
* renovation will have all this tiny peanut problem, just flush the bowl and solve it.
*give and take.
*cigt butt. (will have)
all above issye is what i face also, but i dont think is a very big issue to bring kel down to the bottom of earth.
we call and highlight to him, then all problem solve.
* main problem is ID missing in action, that you not ever got the mood to comment.
solve it...
care
Care,
I'm not siding anyone, but i seriously feel that you are supporting Kelvin blindly. I don't think that yuenyuen or anyone else is wrong to list out their dissatisfaction here. If this thread only allows positive comments, and negative comments will be slammed, then this thread becomes a scam. It will defeat the purpose of this forum.
You have the right to give your full support to Tau, but you can't expect anyone else to support them like you do.
As customers, we have the right to expect reasonable turnaround time, and quality service/products. We are customers, not friends or fans of Tau. As Eugela said, if Tau or the supporters here continue to slam anyone here who do not give good comments, you are actually doing more harm to Tau.

make sure they have HDB license and you are paying with a cheque payable to their company name. keep a photocopy of the cheque just in case.Ossify,
they have HDB license, but they've requested us to write a cash cheque instead.. hai.. really hope this reno can be over soon, so that i don't have to deal with them any longer.

When do you guys make 2nd payment to the contractor? My contractor has asked for 2nd payment before completing our carpentry works. Our HO has been delayed for 2 weeks, approaching 3rd week, while waiting for their carpentries to be up. Not mentioning the poor and rough workmanship.
Is it the norm to make 2nd payment before they install the carpentry works completely? Or are they trying to take advantage of us?

-
Hi Gluttonish and Stw9444
Above is my existing curtains.
Nice! thanks!
-
Hi,
anymore feedback abt the above shop?
-
Hi GluttonishPM you the contact for the curtains already.....do you have any movers in mind? can share as I am looking for careful movers with enough manpower to move my existing stuff especially my dinning table.
Hi Yuenyuen,
received with thanks! I'm intending to move in Nov. I got no contacts for movers leh, cos intending to move ourselves, don't have much stuffs to bring along with us..
-
I used the curtain maker that provide me for my existing place. If you want, I can pass you the contact. The last time I checked he was the cheapest for the quality we wanted. This time my hubby did not bother to check. My invoice is at home, will check and let you know the breakdown. What we selected :-
1) Day and night curtains (full height of 2.7m X width 3.6 m) - Day is organze metallic/silvery kind and night is full black out with strips pop-out line.
2) MBR Day and night - bend track (half length to baywindow X 1.4 m ) - same design and material as living room.
3) BR2 Day and night - bend track (half length to baywindow X 2.8m) - full black out with strips pop-out line and normal quality ivory day
4) BR3 Day and night - straight track (half length to baywindow X 2.8m) - design as BR2
5) binds for toilets
total damage = $2K plus
They will deliver and install end of this month, I can take picture and upload. I am still trying to figure out how to attach picture here.
Quality wise, think pictures can't tell as you need to feel it. You can ask him to bring material to you for quotation and feel.
Wah, can pass me the contact? Thanks!
I'm going to install my lights tmr, so excited!~
-
Yup, started reno already. Today finished false ceiling, next two days painting then wait for carpentry. Also bought all my lightings already, Dining light delivered to existing place last Saturday as no place to lock in new house. The rest of the lightings will be delivered on Wednesday evening to the new house.
thats really fast! Btw, any recommendations for curtain makers?
-
Do S&C always need 6-8 weeks before they can deliver the goods? Or do they have some ready stocks? Am intending to get sofa, dining table and coffee table from them, but can't afford to wait that long.
-
Me not rushing la...as the false ceiling guys have not finish their work, after that still need to paint before carpentary guys can start.....I also not shifting till 2nd week of Nov, so no problem....
ohh.. so you starting your reno already? thats really fast. You bought your lights already?
-
Mine will be after yours..the week after or the following week.ohhhh... should be quite fast. Uncle Winson is rushing already.
-
wow, that is fast.... so when will they install your carpentry?Think next week...
-
Hi GluttonishMy advise is to use the flat handle kind as if you hands are wet, the round knob might be hard to turn.
Hi Yuenyuen,
thanks, have installed the flat handle. Just went up to my new place to take a look today, almost all is ready, except for carpentry and the shower screens.
So far, I'm very happy with whatever that has been done, it exceeds my expectation..
Hope it will remains this way till the reno is complete *cross fingers*
-
Hey guys,
ask u ar, what kind of light is suitable for round tempered glass dining table?
-
Yuenyuen,
did you change your bedroom doors? Did you take the normal round knob or the flat one?
-
Hahahah New I can sense that you're pissed with ppl asking you the same question lehWhy not you insert a link at the signature below with the caption "Why is there an aircon in my kitchen?" to point to your answer in this page ah ?

I agree that they are always good and bad experiences. The balance is very important, so as much as we highlight their weaknesses, we should also highlight the things that they did well too. This way potential customers will have a better idea of the Pros and Cons of engaging Tau.
