    Have bought more things during the week:

    TV console:

    Wanted to buy the Pinot series from journey east but the price is too steep, even after the 20% discount... So look around the shop and finally settled for this insteadimage-17.jpg

    After discount is less than 1.2k for a 2m console... The bottom part is extendable, so can go up to 2.3m I guess, depend on the design we want... The lady even recommend to buy the standing shelf that can blend with this console but too bad, my pocket is empty although my heart is full... Also, don't want my brick wall to be covered... Hehe

    Toiletries shelves for shower area.

    Decided to get these instead of doing the more popular "hole in the wall" because we had used such shelves in our 1st house and found them relatively easy to maintain. Plus... we just have too many stuffs. Corner shelving is for Level 2 baths. Single tier shelf is for kitchen toilet on level 1, to be placed above the basin.

    Updates as at 04July 2013

    I'm so happy. Lots more done today. Plumber has come by to fix up the Water Closets, water heater and pipes. Electrician also came by to complete most of the electrical works especially for the kitchen. And finally, carpentry for the 2nd level is 95% done. Still some minor "shou-kou" to make sure everything fits in nicely and the door handles. No laminates are used for these cabinets. Its all spray painted with hand painted gold trimmings. Let's see some pics of the carpentry works:

    I love your carpenter job. I ever request this design to my ID but she claims this type using mold to product. Plywood normally no design just plain. What type of wood your carpenter uses? Mind to share your carpenter contact? I'm about to confirm my ID but now pending coz I saw your wardrobe so..oooo nice.

    Nice house and deco.... :good: We have the same taste :) . I'm in the midst looking for my furniture too. I had visited Comfort, Egg3, Logan's, Lush Lush and Second charm but yet visit Athousandtales. Hope I can get the TV console like you. BTW, your bench near the phone where you get from? Mind to share? and where you get the dummy phone look like real......Have you completed your deco??? Any upcoming photo...looking forward :rolleyes:

    Totally agree with you summer. pets arent toys or commodities. No time,find time.its about the effort.

    First of all, I should not keep any pets. I never think that I need to move house bcoz of my kids. I have 2 problem kids ASD & ADHD, so I need to spend more time when I have no maid. If I continue to keep my rabbit, we have no time to play with him. I think he deserve to have a good master, Not like me. Haiz...I'm also very sad but I have no choice.

    Sorry we should talk about the house Reno..pai seh discuss about family matter....sorry....sorry...

    I notice you are animal lover. You keep a lot of pets. I have one holland loop pure breed from US 1st Gen pedigree but I might want to sell away when I move to my new house coz my maid will go bk home town for good and I don't plan to hire a new maid. My kids will send to student care. Hence, my rabbit nobody can take care. Currently, i have maid helping me take care my kids and house chores but after she go back everything must do myself. If you have pet, you must spend a least 2 hours a day play with them. Is poor if I keep him and no time play with him. Do you think so?

    Thank you for your kind words :) I didn't get anything from Lorgan's. Didn't even go there because the places we went to made us happy enough :D the armchair is from Room of Woods. My display cabinet as in the one in our study that I just posted? That one's from IKEA! :) Blue stool's from egg3, you're right. Display cabinet is about $260 and stool is around $150.

    Thanks for your info. I will scout around ikea and egg3. Looking forward to design my house in sept 2013....browsing around now for furniture and TB stuffs....:)

    just wondering did anyone buy the combi blind from Taobao? I'm confused about shipping cost. Some seller estimate 1m2= 2kg. Is it safe if I estimate the volumetric weight to be 100cm x 10cm x 10cm /5000 = 2kg? Buy from Taobao cheaper or Q0010 cheaper?

    Finally, we organized the first house warming party with friends ~ Because the party is held in the morning, so I named it as Brunch Party … I wrote down the menu on the chalkboard beside our counter-bar. With the new oven, I have learned how to bake pasta and cookies – so these are parts of the brunch party menu. I bought the 2 tiers pink color serving stands from Ikea during promotion to serve all the mini fruit tarts and assorted breads and cakes.

    All the paper cups are stamped with individual name – everyone will have their own cups and they can decor their cup with the stickers put on the table.

    These were the cup cookies we have made in advance ~ thanks to my dear sister helping me to mix the ingredients and taught me how to make the cup shape. They are meant for the mini fruit tarts.

    So, these are the final result of the mini fruit tarts – I used the strawberry.

    This was the second time of making the baked pasta – it was tougher than first time because I need to make more than 10 persons of serving portion. I have made into 2 bakeware and all are finished.

    Bought 2 kraft boxes from Daiso, which costed $2 each. I want to make something to hide those ugly wires and tissue packet. Here’s what I done for the tissue box – it took me less than fifteen minutes to finish ~ easy and fast. I used the masking tapes to decorate the edge of the opening.

    We have demolished about 8 walls, so the contractor charged us 1900 because one of the wall in kitchen need PE ... That already cost 600.

    Thanks, Seirengrey. I have the Amcon info. I had liaise with them but payment wise they ask for Alipay acc. I saw my colleague purchase goods from TB using our Sg credit card but only DBS/POSB.

    Went to my house to pay the balance for my laminate flooring and take a look at the progress. Everything is coming together nicely. :good:

    Upclose look at tempered glass top. My ah lao's requirement is NO SHARP EDGES for anything... and it's ridiculously hard to look for round and oval furniture, so rounded edges = perfecto!

    Dont see this elephant small, its freaking heavy. My nephew cant lift it up and he is 7yr old.

    I got May to order. so did not take note of the sellers location. shipping prices from seller to GZ were minimal too. Placed order in Mid Feb. all items less 1 reached her today. most items reached her last week. so i can safely say, abt 3 weeks.

    then from her GZ warehouse to my place, she gave me an estimated 8 days. so have to prepare for abt 4 to 5 weeks notice if you guys are ordering. some sellers are pretty slow.

    i'm not so good at recommending. need to know what you like and need. But many pple recommended the Jumoo brand for reliability. can try =)

    there are many types, you'll need to choose between 1 or 2 taps, 1 or 2 inlets or outlets, movable head, the list goes on.

    i think small items shouldnt be a problem. but i'll like to order by tomorrow. so let me know! =)
