Can you post the link to the track light again? Doesn't seems to work..
Also, is 7W bright enough?
Thanks
Opps..sorry for the broken link! Here's the link again:http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1.w4606726-7105804626.19.In9AYG&id=25661520767
I am using my hp, let me know if it still doesn't work.
We find that 7W is just nice (we didnt want it to be very bright, we just wanted to create a light ambience) We put 4 along walkway and 4 **** area. You might want to consider mixing with 12W if you want it brighter. HTH!

Hi there, how did you go about using Yunfei?are they are the same kind of forwarders like peeka or amcom?the process of buying yourself and asking seller to sent to yunfei warehouse?

Kitchen carpentry
Our kitchen carpentry is up...1 side top and bottom, other side is our tall unit..kompacplus top and glass backing, and hood and hob still not up yet, hope we can see it the next few days..
The workmanship is good..all soft closing..didn't spot any defects etc. But there is a problem with our pull-out steel dish rack, (have not fixed the clear class yet), we opted for blum lift up hydraulic, but it does not allow us to open at mid-way, when we pull up, it will automatically go up to the top and hit the cupboard at the top..ID will help us fix it next week..
Our tall unit:
Kompacplus top not up yet..the big space is to cater for our 3-in 1 oven..anyone can recommend a good conventional oven?
My big pull out drawer..installed blum anti-slam for 5 drawers..
more updates to come! we are satisfied with the results and hope to see our shoe cabinet, wardrobe and tv feature wall soon..

Updates on door and carpentry
My kitchen bi-fold door from besglas..we love the sail white with clear glass to match our white brick feature wall..we did top track only..so there isn't those ugly bottom tracks. It is slightly more expensive to do top track, but we had no choice. We wanted a swing door for our kitchen previously, but the concern was that it will hit our fridge door if we do a swing door so we opted this bi-fold door from besglas. we love the effect!
Doors for 3 rooms:
The original color - nyatoh doors for 3 rooms..Painter will paint it grey over it, and we opted black for the door frame..will update the final look of the door.. ..oh yes, we bought our own door knobs and our ID helped us to install.
Toilet suspended vanity cabinet
We wanted a bold bright color for our toilet vanity cabinet as we wanted to make the toilets a "different" feeling..orange laminate for common toilet and pink laminate for master toilet...Luckily, hubby didn't object to my pink laminate.. ..hope the mirror and sink will make it

Forwarder used: Yunfei..its around SG110 per CBM..i combine shipment with my taobao friends.. ..HTH!!
LOL...all our bedrooms also no downlights..in fact bdrm 2 and 3 only have a fanco fan with light each..
our MBR have a fan with light and 2 more lights (1 in the walkway from door to bed and another in the WIW)..
Hm, i shall try removing the light cover but worry aesthetically if husband will allow..thanks for the heads up

Some updates:Ta-dah!! our track lights are up!! we love our track lights effects.. .. we bought the track lights from taobao..everything came in good condition including the tracks..satisfied!!7W warm lights: (current house condition is still in a mess, haha)my chandelier lights are up too..our electrician help us to setup the stand of our chandelier lights to the wall, and we hung the crystals ourselves..we bought this chandelier lights from TB..everything came in good condition too except that we broke 1 crystal ourselves..We bought this highly raved Philips steam iron from the Philips fair last weekend..Function:There was a live demo during the fair, and the attractive point is that we can iron any garment from silk, to linen, to cotton, to cashmere, in any order (100% safe on all fabrics), without adjusting the temperature, without the risk of burn or shine or wait. It is said to reduce the ironing time and we wereHope to see my new doors this week..

Hihi,
I guess perhaps we got the same Fanco fan with light from Tampoi as you, we are now using both the 42" & 52" in bedrooms and living room. Indeed the lights are not bright enough even when currently using 2 Philips LED 12W. Good thing is our LED downlights are very bright, so it does help to brighten the place a bit..
Hihi! haha..cool!! same Fanco fans.. ..we are using 9W currently.. .it stated the maximum is 20W..we noticed that the main problem is due to the cover (opaque), we tried taking out the cover and it is soso much brighter..
Our living room has LED downlights but not in our bedrooms so we will try to buy a higher Watt and try it out again..update again!

Hi Felicia
can i know where you get your wooden tiles for your bedrooms from? also, what is the model number and the price psf? Thanks! and all the best in your reno
Hi Carltoneoz! Thanks for your well wishes!!
We got our homo wooden like tiles from Lian Seng Hin (Address: 568A Balestier Road Singapore 329885)
Its along the stretch of tiles shop, there are four tiles shop there (hafary, hup kiong etc).
psf price is close to $4..we didn't take down the model number..we love the feel and look..perhaps you can drop by their shop to see and also feel the tiles..

Will you consider to fully craft brick the wall and get a wall hung mirror instead??
011..hehe..still discussing with hubby..our problem is: there is no a better space to put a wall hung mirror at our living room.. ..so most likely have to combine mirror with the brick walls..sacrifice the fully craft brick walls.

Welcome to Renotalk!! looking forward to see more pics and your tb loots..the barn door looks very cool!!

Finally managed to edit my images above to bigger size instead of the tiny pictures..finally have time to upload the pics in my wordpress and copy the URL links and Ta-dah!! finally have bigger images...pardon my "newbie-ness".. ..
my Evorich Vinyl floor completed in a day:
seeing them cut and fix..very skillful... ..we selected Markham Oak Medium as we prefer darker color...
Final Product:
We realized there are shiny spots on the vinyl when there is a direct light shining on it..is it normal? or it is because it is very new?
Timber Skirting:
Contrast with Evorich floor and Homo-wood like floor:
The contrast with two different kinds of tiles..hubby commented it will be better to do whole house vinyl i find it boring with same kind of tiles for our whole house, so decided to play around to have a different feel...hope i wont regret in long run..
Carpentry more or less confirmed, next will be the fixing of wooden doors, bi-fold doors and shower screen before starting on carpentry..carpentry is the most headache part in the whole reno process..
hope can see new things tmr...

Some updates:
Pop by our love nest and surprised that electrician have fixed up our lights..FAST!! we thought the fixing of lights will be delayed..FINALLY we have lights! some pics to share..(pardon the poor visibility of some pics)
Cove lights: Love the cove lights (warm light) effect and fan..
Service yard lights: (lighting point was at the top, its a little dim perhaps due to the wall color we chosen, it gives us a dim feeling)
Bed room 1 (study room): Fanco fan with light..its a little dim which we regretted. Will need to buy a higher watts..currently it is 3 bulbs with 7W..Alternatively will try to remove the cover of the lights so that it is brighter..
*If anyone thinking of buying fan with lights, got to consider the brightness..
My toilet lights are the brightest..LOL..two colors (white and warm when open 2 togther)
cove lights at master bedroom: (2 sides)
This week will be able to see my evorich tiles / skirting....showerscreen and doors.

Fridge wise, I prefer it big. With the price tag of 1.1k, you can easily get a 500L up fridge.
Never underestimate the usage of fridge, when you stay on, items needed will slowly start feeling up the space.
Also when catering the space for the fridge in the kitchen, ensure the carpentry allows more space for a fridge upsize in the future.
Dont get caught in the situation where you can only buy back a similar size fridge.
Hi 011..thanks for your advice and feedback.. ..we wanted a black fridge glass surface (think black is more chio) and energy saving hence choices are limited..samsung no black color..and hitachi has 3 ticks (based on the new ratings)..
Yupz. we have asked ID to cater space for a fridge upsize in future..hehe..

Just back holidays from BKK..bought many household accessories from chatuchak..went to new home today to see the update of my new hse...currently doing painting works..false ceiling completed!
Cove lights in MBR and Living/walkway:
Did not manage to take pics of the painting color..will post when i make a trip next few days..next week will start on doors, shower screen and vinyl flooring **** room..Carpentry works will start 2 weeks later...*Excited* to see my new home..

14th day of my reno..Finally my white bricks is completed..Waiting for ID to fix a clear glass mirror between the white bricks..i love my white bricks effect.. ..
This week will be starting on electrical works and false ceiling works .have bought all my lights to put at bomb shelter so that all the lights can be fixed..cant wait to see the lights.. ..Aircon man will be coming on Wed to fix system 4 Mitsubishi heavy industries...hopefully wiring etc will be done nicely!
Headache part: We are still thinking whether to go ahead with storage heater or gas heater..both have its pros and cons..If we get storage heater, it has to be placed in our Master bathroom as HDB has already fix the pipings at master bathroom, and our master bathroom is very small, with the storage heater in place, it will be smaller... ..
Comments: in the end, we took storage heater..
During the weekend, we went to Universal Union Enterprise (recommended by a friend)
710 Geylang Road
(3 shops away from Lor 44)
Singapore 389625We were glad that they have more variety (compared to hoe kee), we went to Heritage (few shops beside it) but we find that Heritage is very small and quite messy..We wanted to go Poh Joo but in the end, we settled our sinks, mixers, toilet shelving, mirrors at Universal Union..A guy by the name of Ah Hao served us, and he was very patient..explaining us the items when we have doubts.. ..we were in the shop for nearly 2 hours..choosing colors to match/ type of sinks is really a headache..Furthermore they gave us a discount and we find their price is reasonable..
Some pics to share:
Love my sinks and taps...

Congrats and hope to see more pics of your hse and 3d..

3d image of my wardrobe...
we chose a matt color with two patches of glass panel..3d does not reflect color well..hope the wardrobe is sufficient for me..Kitchen Sink: wanted to taobao our sink but hubby insist to buy from sg because he is afraid if in future not working or etc, he has to change it..and he cannot feel the sink before buying it..LOLSo, in the end, we bought Metra 9 from Hoe Kee..there is a package promotion..Hood + Hob = We got Fujioh, my sis is using it and she is raving about how effective and easy to use with the oil-retaining filter...Next..sourcing for toilet sinks!! any recommendations where to get?More updates to come!! -
Hi,
Nice 3D designs. May I check with you how much ur id charge you for the laminate feature wall? Looks really nice and similar to what I'm doing, just that my color would be more light brown.
Thanks Chilarvet!! ..Ya!! we cant wait to see our laminate feature wall..he quoted me 6ft for around 1k plus..ours will be more to light greyish type of laminate..=)
4K is new, this LG tv will only upscale/interpolate our normal prog/movies to 4K, so not "true" 4K. but not saying tat this TV is lousy, jus for the moment, not able to fully utilise tats all. Most impt, can fit your budget
Thanks simple13 for the feedback! ..yes, thats what i understand too! that they will upscale all our normal programs/movies to 4k, but recently 1 salesperson told us that this is not true..not all normal programs can upscale..is it true? haha..
we are still thinking whether to get LG UHD instead (no need 4k and 3D)..i think 3D is useless, dun really need it..the 4k not much difference compared to the others (without 4k) but u are right! it goes down to budget..haha..
Hi Felicia,
Mind sharing the est cost of your reno?
TIA!
Hi Whinypooh, my reno est cost is abt 30k (with electrical works) =)
