  1. Hi RuFu58 - Congratulations! I kinda of your neighbour, I am from West Terra.  I suspect they may have slowed issuing of keys so as not to overwhelm BSC with defects rectification. Your unit is 45 sqm? If so, I think a dry + wet toilet is totally achievable. Although you got the 2-door toilet, your shower is located on side of kitchen wall right? I think Suneeta Devi has a similar flat layout and her toilet is so posh!

    Have you collected your keys?

For me, i've intended to place my wardrobe same as yours. But i couldn't do full height because there's where hdb leave opening to lay aircon trunk. And my id advice me against drilling a hole in bathroom and lay from there.

Flooring depends and your budget and preferences. Have to google for pros and cons of different flooring before making a decision.

Hi Ankle - I would think carefully about extending the wardrobe to below the aircon trunk vent. The water from a leak or condensation in the trunking could drip down and ruin your wardrobe.

Ok first I use cable tie to bunch up the cables and try my best to slot them as deep as I can into the TV.

At the side, I stick a 3M hook to hold the cables as they dangle to the side.

To cover up the cables that are dangling vertically from the hook, I use my curtain to hide it. Sorta like an illusion.
If I don't let down the curtain however, the cables dangling down will of course still be seen, but I find it nicer
then having them dangle right in the middle of the TV.

The cover-up is very well done.  A simple & effective solution.  No need to build a feature wall, drill into walls or use a TV cord cover. Thanks for the tip.

    Living room - 3 locations x 2 pts

    Bedroom - 2 locations x 2 pts

    Kitchen - 2 locations x 1 pt + 1 location x 4 pts

    Household shelter - 1 location x 2 pts

    DB box - 1 location x 1 pt

I still add 1 pt in bedroom for wall fan and 1 x 2 pts in living room for vacumm cleaner / steamboat

Hi mmoh - Thanks for the information, the specific number of points was not listed in the HDB sales brochure. The number and location of these power, telephone & television points would affect the layout of each room.

Thanks. Have already endured 4 years.. What is another 1 more year, right..

I had a lot of dreams for my cosy nest... But sadly... No space... Put one queen size bed means no space for anything else.. No dresser.. No wardrobe... :(  35sqm really very small iszit? I have yet to see a 2 rm of my size.. I really cannot visualize  anything.. But i really liked the design by U Home.. Someone posted it in this thread... Abt. 2rm Moroccan Style.. Did u see it.. That is the style i am looking for...  Very nice....

    this my floor plan...

    Hi RuFus58

The "My Nice Home Gallery" 36sqm bedroom is small but HDB managed to squeeze in a queen bed, wardrobe & study table. It's nautical themed.

The U-Home flat was very nicely done, especially the bathroom. U-Home has a branch at IMM... you can always approach them when the time comes.

15 PAP town councils to increase service and conservancy charges from June 1

    http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/15-pap-town-councils-to-increase-service-and-conservancy-charges-from-june-1

"Phased over two years, the first tier increase takes effect from June 1 and ranges from $0.50 to $9 per month for HDB one- room to executive flat home-owners.

The second tier increase will take effect a year later, with HDB flat owners paying $0.50 to $8 per month.

The 15 Town Councils are: Ang Mo Kio, Bishan-Toa Payoh, Chua Chu Kang, East Coast-Fengshan, Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jalan Besar, Jurong-Clementi, Marine Parade, Marsiling-Yew Tee, Nee Soon, Pasir Ris-Punggol, Sembawang, Tanjong Pagar, Tampines and West Coast.

Last year, one- and two-room HDB households received a total of three months of rebates, while three- and four-room households got two months of rebates."

    -------------------------

during such times, I am happy that I am a mere 2-room owner :D

We also don't need to pay property tax and will be getting GST U-Save vouchers of $380/- every year. Not a bad deal.

  8. Hi Ryanyth - Yes, gas clothes dryer are hard to find in Singapore. Only City Gas & Hoe Kee Hardware carry this Rinnai Gas Dryer. It is supposedly quicker and cheaper compared to electric ones. My preference is to air dry clothes indoor but I think it is difficult in a 2-Room flat since the kitchen is small and there is no service yard. As my kitchen window will be facing a busy main road & some construction sites, I will avoid hanging my laundry outdoors. A washer dryer combo is a good idea but it can be tricky with a full load of laundry as the dryer has a smaller capacity than the washer. So much things to consider for a tiny house.

  9. Hi Ryanyth - Got your point about the advantages of induction over gas. I've got some thinking to do. Actually the gas dryer won't take up too much space as it meant to be stacked on top of a front load washer. I am not sure if upper kitchen cabinets can be constructed near the window (as in your plans) as they may obstruct the movement of the indoor drying rack.

Hi Mmoh - Can I check how you dry your clothes? Do you use the laundry rack outside the kitchen window or a clothes dryer?

  10. Hi Ryanyth - I used to have the same idea as you about using only induction for cooking. However, in the remote chance of a electricity outage, we have to rely on the gas cooker for cooking and boiling water. Current models of gas hobs are compact, easy-to-clean and safer compared to their predecessors.  Most likely, I need a gas clothes dryer too. I intend to dismantle the indoor drying rack or not use it minimally as it takes up too much space in the small kitchen. What are your plans for the indoor drying rack?
