  1. Well thanks.  There's some delays to my key collection (developer's lawyer secretary on MC :( ).

Then by the time I can book my appointment for keys collection (ok, I did look at Chinese Calendar to pick a good date, you can download the apps), all the good dates taken left the so so date so I postpone a little for a better date.

Below is a example of the Chinese Calendar and its information:

宜 means ok to do those stuff.

忌 means not ok to do those stuff

时辰吉凶 means the time you can or cannot do, go google the range of timing.

  2. My unit has a bigger balcony (where the dotted lines is) 150sqm.  The funny thing is when we bought this house we did not even get to see the showflat cause it has been taken down.

Personally I feel the selling point of this unit is:

    - the 2nd Master Bedroom (which I call it) cause of its Jack & Jill Toilet, its only slightly smaller than the master

    - Total toilet include DW toilet (domestic worker) is 4.

    Initial plan was:

    1) B4 as Karaoke room (that has been taken off and now will be Study Room so Sea Horizon neighbours has no 耳福),

    2) B4 as MIL room (now change to B5),

    3) B2 kids room (now change to B2 & B3).

A lot of changes when you initially planned so do start doing your stuff earlier.

  3. Ok Sea Horizon just gotten its TOP that's means to say I will be getting my keys in a couple of days.

I have met up with 2 designers (a lot of hassle) cause you need to repeat yourself again and again about what you want.  I really 佩服 (salute) those who meet up with so many designers, I really cannot do that.  After 2, I already want to give up especially when you come across renowed Interior Design Firm that recruit fresh intern/green designers.  My experience was quite unpleasant.

    1) I don't like being serve by someone inexperience (though they are designers but they are of different level)

    2) I think I have better designs than what they commonly proposed (I can faint when they show me a design of a bags showcase something you can buy ready made and its definitely more beautiful than the one they proposed)

    3) You guys go try out and you will know 要吐血 (vomit blood).  1st ID go MIA, maybe I think he was not able to deliver what I wanted as he kept proposing their common package.  What I wanted wasn't in their package so whenever I text him he always told me he was busy and will get back to me and eventually go MIA.....

I don't want to mention which company but I do think there are many out there (just observe when you go exhibition, there's a huge group of green ID sitting near their booth just like they were waiting to be slaughter).

    4) 2nd ID was really expensive even on the estimation of what I want from paper.

I eventually decide on my contractor instead (recommended by my friend's sister who did her 'The Manhatten' project in Simei)

Let me try posting my floor plan, don't really know how to do it.....

  4. Hi duomaxwell,

I am reading your open door ritual, I have a few questions:

    1) Have you shifted into your new house, do you feel a difference in the energy?

    2) Do you have any more things you want to add on for future open door ritual which you have not done?

    3) You mention under Door open 1) Knock door 3 times (if there are door bell shall we ring the bell instead?

    4) Leave the home and close the door, do not return for 3 days (do we need to close the windows or let the Qi continue to flush in and out?)

Do you have anything to elaborate.

  5. anyone got their sofa from Johor?

I was shopping around lately and understand from the local shop that some of the sofa are make in Malaysia, thus I was wondering if its cheaper if I get direct.

Any comment or suggestions?  If you have the photo of sofa you bought from JB, please post and advise cost, delivery etc.

  6. I am starting my renovation and is wondering if lightings bought from Taobao is as good as those you bought from local?

I went to some lightings shop and they told me there are lots of problems with lights brought from TB (perhaps they want business so therefore they say all kind of stuff to deter customers from buying online)

I notice there's a great deal of savings if purchase online however I fear the quality etc.

Please comment, also if possible please post the lightings you bought online and its link.

  7. Was renovating my house recently and my colleague recommended a Tile Supplier to me. She told me its cheaper than Market Rate

I didn't believe at first so I went to the Showroom and chose my tiles and my Contractor quoted a price. I went to this Supplier and he quoted a much lower price and I eventually confirmed all my Tiles with this supplier.

I manage to save more than $1000++ on the tiles for my entire house.

PM me if you want his contact.

  8. I did my own fertiliser after doing research online.

Egg Shell fertiliser ~ I gather egg shell and grind it

Banana Skin fertiliser ~ I dried banana skin and grind it

My plants are doing fine and growing pretty fast as compare to my niece plant without the fertiliser.

  9. I travel to Genting rather frequently and I gather following useful info for first timer and how to get free hotel stay.

    - Take budget air to KLIA2 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2)

    - Take Express Train to KL Sentral (37min and RM30 +-, it will stop at KLIA1 then proceed all the way non-stop)

    - Buy a Coach Ticket at KL Sentral to Genting Cable Car Terminal

(KL Sentral walk to McDonalds and you can see Burger King and proceed to the escalator next to it - beside the escalator there is a glass auto door exit, go to the exit and take escalator to Basement where Terminal is, book Genting Coach Ticker there)

    - Time Table posted at the booth may not be correct so just take a picture for guidline

    - Ticket cost about RM10 include cable car and coach (going up)

    - Coach don't run during lunch time and each coach take 40pax, so if its full you will be book on the next coach during purchase of ticket. Do not miss your coach or you will need to buy another ticket again. Also be there early if your Coach is at 4pm make sure you are there at at least 3.45pm)

    - I loiter around if there is ample time, there is a new mall where the escalator at Burger King is. Proceed upstairs you will be at the new mall

    - KL Sentral Coach to Genting Cable Car Terminal about 1 hour

    - Coach arrived at Cable Car Terminal (sometimes Coach stop at different spots around the Terminal - it could be at the Terminal itself where you will be taking the coach back later part, or stop behind the Cable Car Terminal - just try to ask and look and find your way)

    - Over at Coach Terminal I usually will contact the restaurant nearby to pick me and my husband up for lunch, the food is cheap and good, I sometimes can get Mao Shan Durian at the shop next to the restaurant

    - I will leave my luggage in the car and after meal they will send us back to the Cable Car Terminal (front/main entrance)

    - Cable Car ride about 15 min

    - Walk to First World Hotel (first time I went I just book online subsequent trip all the rooms is FREE)

    - First thing first go to the Casino area where they will help you with Membership application (I can't remember I think its free - make sure you do this so that you will be able to get Free Rooms next trip).

    - When you gamble you make sure you pass the people your membership card so that they can input your points and when you left for another table make sure you get back your Membership card

    - The allocated points will determine 'free hotel room every month'

    - Some points can redeem for free breakfast or food, always go to the Card Kiosk to check and ask if not sure.

    - My husband got rooms every month even during Peak and Super Peak period and during birthday month there were more perks.

    - Shop/Dine and get points from your membership card

    - Coming back usually I will book 5pm flight so when I check out after breakfast or some games (quite rush if your flight is too early).

    - Take cable car (buy cable car ticket, coach ticket is not available here)

    - 15 mins ride to Cable Car Terminal and buy coach ticket (the other time it was like 9.30am and the next Coach at 10am is full so we only manage to get 11am Coach Ticket (pretty rush for us - so I saw a Queue for Waiting List passenger and Queue there incase the coach is not full as some passenger may miss the Coach then you will be given a seat)

    - So proceed as usual Coach arrived KL Sentral and we shop around first and then went to take Express Train (go behind Burger King area to take Express Train to KLIA2 - Arriving and Departing Express Train area are at different sides)

    - Again 37 min ride to KLIA2 (stop at 2nd stop if you are on Budget ticket cause first stop is KLIA1)

    - Go check in your luggage first and then makan outside and shop around before Home Sweet Home (inside airport nothing much to eat or shop)

Hope this help. I need to find the restaurant contact first and will post again.
