  1. Starting this thread to blacklist any bad electrician you had experienced with. Starting the list with : Kam Kee & Sons Electric Contractor. The boss name is Mr Loke. He is the successor to his dad's business in Chinatown. Just google the shop name and you will get the details Loke's mobile number is nine seven five one nine nine one eight 9751-9918 What's wrong : Loke has about 3 Indian workers under him. Loke himself does very little hands-on. One of his workers seem to be more skilled than he is. Loke will give a slightly lower than average quotation and agree to basically any reasonable condition customer gave. For me, my conditions were clearly to change all old trunking casing and switches and made good all lighting points with installation of new LED lightings. Towards the end of installation work, after paying him, I had to ask them to come back another day for final touch up after ceiling cornices patching work were done. Loke started showing his true colours by not turning up on promised date and also ignoring my phone calls. This resulted at least 1 week delay to my reno work. When he finally return my call, he wasn't as courteous as he initially was when proposing the quotation. He was extremely grumpy about fulfilling the agreement about changing old trunking casing. Said that it increases his cost for this project?!! On the final touch up day, he turned up late and left the work place without verifying with me if work done correctly. The work done was done in a very shabby manner. Some parts of the trunk casings had silicone filling and about 80% of the the trunking didn't, showing big gaps between trunk casing and ceiling/wall. I'll grade the workmanship "2" on the scale of 10 (10 for excellent) Weeks later, I found one of my ceiling light failed. I dismantled the LED ceiling light and brought it to the lighting shop. The owner of the lighting shop was shock to find out that my hired electrician drilled through the PCB backing to screw the ground wire. The drilling on the PCB board had damaged one of the leds which resulted in mismanaged current to the whole unit. I believe Loke's workers had done similar drilling to the rest of the my LED lightings and so I called and called Loke to return to fix and check the rest of the lightings. Loke, on hearing what happened, denied everything he was done or damaged by him and refused to return afraid that he may need to compensate for any damage. He hang-up on me on hearing this. I'll just like everyone to be aware of this electrician and his company. Irresponsible and in-experience electrician. attached pictures of the his shabby jobs.
