  1. I'm looking at overhauling my whole kitchen. My flat is an old 4-rm NG (92sqm) purchased in 1977. Taken over ownership after my dad passed on, and I'm taking on my first renovation journey. Got a hold of a contractor who quoted me $19500 for the kitchen and ceiling repairs and installation of light and ceiling fan for living room. Need advice from the experienced members here. Is the price quoted reasonable, or on the high side? Quotation includes: For Kitchen Hacking of floor and wall tiles. Demolish existing kitchen cabinets, sink hollow block. Supply and Install 15ft kitchen cabinets top & bottom, hollow block for sink. Supply and Install 15ft quartz top. Install hob and hood. Supply and lay 300 x 300mm homogeneous floor tiles and 600 x 300mm marble effect wall tiles. Construct hollow block sink stand. Supply and install one bowl sink, tap and water outlet. Supply and install PVC sliding doors below sink. Supply and install stainless steel pipes. Replace existing power points, wiring and casing. Repair, plaster and paint ceiling. Install 2 ceiling lights in kitchen. For Living Room Remove 2 ceiling roses in living room. Repair, plaster and paint ceiling in living room. Install ceiling light and ceiling fan with light in living room. My floor plan looks similar to this.
