  1. Hi reno gurus, need some help here. so recently ive completed my renovation and moved in for about 2 weeks. so i have instructed my ID that i want all countertop across the house to have 88cm height to match me and my wife's needs(i have a bad back and quite sensitive to height differences on counter tops). while doing some food prep on the kitchen island everything felt good. however when i am standing at the kitchen counter top i noticed my back start to ache. so i whipped out my measuring tape and found out that the height of the countertops across the kitchen are all different. the island stands at 89cm which i can accept. however the weird part is the stretch of counter top from hob to sink are entirely different. my hob area stands at 88cm while the top at the sink area is only 86.5cm. i confronted the ID who then told me he will check. 1week later he came back to me and said this is a norm for counter top washing so the water can flow into the sink. i find it hard to believe because nobody in the right mind would splash water over the counter top to clean it. now i understand that the flooring may be made with a gradient for water to flow into the drainage, however that said drainage is actually below my hob, so it doesnt make sense. can i get input from you guys out there
