Hey all, Am renovating my resale flat, and I understand from my contractor that false ceiling is strictly not allowed according to HDB ruling. Is that true? The images I see online seem to have false ceiling for most HDB bathrooms? If it's a concern for leakage, I stay at the top floor, so there are no units above us..

Hi All, We got all these from Taobao ready to do reno. Before we can start on the renovation, we have a job posting to overseas and are selling these away. All RMB prices are what we paid and in addition, we have paid additional for delivery and custom fees; so the belows are priced to clear. Pickup at Bukit Timah area during weekday nights or weekends.

I have just bought a new flat and I'm planning to renovate it, instead of drilling to install my bathroom and kitchen accessories on the wall (recommended by my contractor), I want to try using magic suction because the cost is cheaper than drilling and I can move my accessories to anywhere anytime I want. I saw this magic suction at home fixed, has anyone used before, please advise.

I am thinking of renovating both my HDB toilet. I am staying in a 5 room HDB, 110sqm. 1. To overlay master bathroom flooring and wall tiles without replacing the toilet bowl 2. To overlay common bathroom flooring and wall tiles without replacing the toilet bowl Any tiles expert, kindly advice whether this is the reasonable price? Contractor give me a quotation of $11,000 just to overlay without any hacking job to be done. My budget is $7000 to overlay. Any BIG PRICE difference if I go for hacking of the toilet floor and wall tiles and replacing new toilet with water proofing? What is the BIG difference between the 2?

Hi, I went around looking for a suitable bathroom vanity sets (sink with cabinet) for my master and common toilets but have been unable to find a suitable one due to either design or price. I chanced upon a perfect one in a shop in JB but the shop does not transport/deliver to Singapore. Any knows if it's ok for me to do a cash and carry out of JB to Singapore. The item itself cost about SGD500 and it should be able to fit into my car. Just worried about customs regulations.

Hello, I really need HELP I am actually doing some minor works but totally hacking and re-doing the toilets. my husband and I have been going around looking for bathroom accessories and we came across many shops with seriously very differnt prices. Had we not compared enough, we could have been a few hundred dollars poorer! We finally settled for this shop called EZZE along Geylang road which had almost all we wanted for a relatively lower price compared to so many other shops that we went to. However, one problem we have is looking for bathroom vanity sets....those sinks with the cabinets below them. Either the prices are too high or if the prices are reasonable, there is very limited choices in the shops. Any recommendations where to get those bathroom vanity sets from?.....in case you chanced upon them when you went looking for your bathroom accessories.... Thank you in advance.

Hi I'm keen on finding out if it's possible to convert a utility room into an additional bathroom? At the moment I am interested in a 3 room old flat but there is only 1 very small bathroom in the kitchen. What would be the cost of doing such a renovation and is it possible? Coz that would have to include plumbing works and stuff right?

Hello everyone, I am a newbie here, and hope to ask a question to the renovation veterans on this forum. I am thinking of buying an HDB, and plan to do the renovation as indicated in the figure below. What is my chance of getting HDB to approve this renovation plan? I need to know my chance before buying this flat -- if the chance is too low, I might give up on this flat -- since I really want to have a 1.7m long bathtub. I really appreciate your expert opinions on this. Thanks! Alan

Hi, I am looking for a contractor who can help quote and perform the following: 1. Replace 1X bifold bathroom door; the current one is rollers keep getting misaligned 2. There is a wet and dry shower screen 3Xpiece which is held in frame and train rails but the string that links all three panel are stuck 3. In the master bathroom, need to replace the rubber linings and rea-align the tempered glass door to the glass panel Would appreciate as it seems no one is willing to do this. Thanks Merduka

Hi All, I have a 4NG resale flat in woodlands. The two bathrooms are very tiny. I am thinking having a dedicated toilet and a shower room. Is it allowed to completely remove the toilet bowl and the pipes to make it into a dedicated shower room? Can I break the kitchen wall to create a door to the W.C.? Please see attached drawings for illustrations. Please advise.
