Hi Friends, I had a very bad and strange experience with a interior designing / renovation company in Oxley business hub, UBI. I am careful in revealing the name as I have initiated a legal process against this company, the company name has number '8' in its name :-). I will reveal the name by next week as soon as the verdict is out. here is how they cheat - In the name of preparing drawings, they first charge you SGD1,000 by claiming it is just for drawings preparation, which will be adjusted when you signup for the whole contract later. But there is no obligation to signup for whole contract. In case we choose an another contractor for renovation, we should consider paying this 1,000 for the preparation of drawings, which is a fair deal. This appointment letter has a cooling period of 7 days to cancel in case you change your mind. until here everything will be sweet and professional. Fun starts from here. I was trapped in to this trick and paid SGD 1,000 on 15th Jan'17 and later advised by an another friend who had this problem, I quickly realised my mistake and on 16th Jan'17 (well within the cooling period of 7 days) I formally communicated my intentions to cancel the appointment letter and requested him not to start any work. Then the true trick came out, he refused to refund the money and started wrong claims that he spent time in preparing one drawing already, ceiling plans etc. When signing he told me that he can only start my work after CNY as they are busy until then on urgent works. Just to assess the genuinity of his claims of preparing one drawing, I asked him to send the drawing as a proof. The then sent me an old drawing that he prepared for someone in Tampines HDB unit. For his cheating practices, duping clients with false claims and facts, I have already initiated a legal process against this company and also lodged a formal complaint in CASE Singapore. If you want more details, you can write back to me, I will provide my piece of advice and precautions about this company. Be very careful guys. Just a word of caution - be clear on what is chargeable and what is not when you deal with this company. After jury's verdict I will post all details about this company and their modus operandi.

Most interior designers it seems incorporate laminated wooden floors to their 3 bedrooms packages.It can't be by coincidence that they do so.I believe it's due to the warm feeling and cosyness they it bring to the bedrooms outlook,ala resort style.Unfortunately consumers are mostly duped into picking up laminate but the non quality ones as most designers tend to promote China boards due to the cheapness of it but at the client expenses.There are many good quality Germany laminated floors in the market out there namely,Kronotex,Sensa Floors and Krono original which is fairly affordable.Do not be fooled by interior designers who just sales talk.get the facts right and protect your investment,which is your home.Buy smartly.

We have several meeting at more than half a year ago just to confirm the budget and design, and execute to complete the project after 3 months. The end result are amazing, Both owner and i felt so Satisfaction for participating in this project -

Recently I came across a FB page about this company D'ONE Service (I like their Company Name Which say's DONE) while sourcing for some home accessories. Thought can share on this platform (fb.me/doneservicellp) They help people to do sourcing and customization. Was very surprised that such a company do exist in Singapore. Their service are pretty fast. Takes only 2 days to sourced the items which I need and at reasonable price. Talk to this guy call Eric. He told me as a sourcing agent, their company not only doing sourcing but alot more than I can think of. Will see what else that my company or myself need. Will talk to this guy again. I hope to share more findings on other matters to you folks. Cheers!

Hi! We’re looking for a HDB flat/Private Residence to film in for an upcoming commercial that will be aired in Singapore. Preferably a 1st floor (or low floor), 3-5 room flat which is empty. If it’s furnished, we would gladly move everything out to storage and put everything back when the shoot is done. The shoot will take place for about 2 weeks between mid June to early July. We will also provide a fee to use the apartment, up to $350 per day if selected. We will also be looking at Interior designers that could provide assistance in building props for the house. hello all, i'm new to this as introduced by my friend to this forum. as i will be shifting into a resale towards the end of the year or in jan 2016 would like to know if there's anyway i can get a floor plan? the owner who passed me their original is decades old already. also, would be glad for a head start on what i can look out for and how long should i plan in advance to look for my contractor or ID... my concern is hidden costs if i were to sign an ID before getting my keys as to a few horror stories i've heard from friends.. or should i wait till i get my keys? to get a accurate quotation... heard a lot of extra costs esp for resale. kindly advise... thanks
