Hi everyone, Can I ask a favour of those who have done up their renovation of their HDB flats. I'm looking to buy a resale flat but would like to change the location of the main door. I have attached the floor plan, as you can see the red area is where I would prefer my main door to be. Does anyone have an experience of HDB approving this type of request? I already emailed HDB and they want me to purchase the flat first and submit the contractor drawings.... Let me know you're experiences! -
Dear All I have bought the HDB resale house and the door has been used for more than 10 years. There are some cracks in the front side of the door. Initially we thought we would like to do paint spray and change some door accessories, but we are now considering to change it into the new door. I have been checking the door installation websites, not sure if the price and type of door is correct. Kindly advise. Thanks. Door size: 4ft (double leaf) Accessories: Magnetic stopper, eye viewer, press lockset (we purchased the digital door lock to replace with the key part here, though) Door type: Fire-rated.... in this case, Veneer OR nyatoh ply???? (most curious part) Price: I checked with suppliers, they mentioned no credit card and price ranges from $1350 to $1680. If add steel lines, $15-$50 per line. Payment scheme: 30-50% deposit upon order confirmation, the balance to be paid upon completion. ** we need a installation service for our digital door lock if can be provided.

Hi All, I am new to this forum. Recently me and my husband changed our toilet door with DoctorDoors after hearing their good reputation and saw them on Channel 5 renovaid program. I see their website, they have this Combi Door and they claimed it to be the only one in Singapore and patent. My husband was tempted to change but i think it's better to check out more reviews first. It is $1788 for a door and gate which open and close together. The design all very nice but wonder if anyone here is using this Combi Door? What are the pros and cons?

Currently my 11yr old HDB main gate and main door works. But the previous owner diyed a terrible paint job on them both, there's hardened dribbles and wrinkles here there everywhere. And the paint is white, so the dirt between the paint folds shows up really well. Anyone can advise some methods? I tried scraping some paint folds off myself, but it's **** hard. Are there contractors that will scrape, sand and repaint at a reasonable price? Or better to just change gate and door, especially since I intend to install digital lock as well? If so, got any recommendations that bao ga liao? Or 2 contractors also can, 1 do just the doors and gate, 1 do just the locks. I dun feel like sourcing from 3 different contractors for doors, gate, and lock respectively. I contacted Mydigitallock already, but their service attitude very unenthusiastic, so my hopes on them have dropped a lot.

Just done 28 degree fengshui main door.... with nicely box-up door frame... cost me $2388, is it cheap?
