  1. My wife and I visited a long list of ID before we agreed for the renovation of our new home. This could be attributed to not only the quality and affordability offered to us but also the meticulous manner their staff, Ms. Selina, did her work. From the start, She was very professional and very accommodating to our ideas and suggested quality advice to match our ideas to our budget. She kept to her schedules without fail. Everyday updated me with what was taken place. I can say that renovation cannot just simply look at cost comparison because price somehow does dictate the quality of materials and workmanship. She was able to communicate and translate our ideas well to put into the design she had for us. She was ever-ready to advice us on the pros & cons of our ideas instead of outright dismissing our ideas regardless how extreme it might sound. And Selina was always patient to our ever-changing ideas and fickle mindedness in our decisions even to the simplest choice of paint colors. I must say Selina did a great job for our place to make our new haven be a beautiful yet simple abode that we always feel comfortable to come home. Ultimately, we felt safe and assured throughout the whole process. I will engage her services again if I ever need another reno in the future. Thanks Selina & Co. Pm me for her contact or email me at s0165793125@gmail.com
  2. Hi everyone! Please share with me your knowledge and thoughts. This is my bathroom vanity cupboard. If you look for awhile you will spot the mistake. See anything? It is the edge of the hinge being over-cut and seal by some white patchy thing? I told the contractor this and the carpenter fixed it by sticking another pieces of white PVC over so that I will not see that ugly/wrongly/over-cut part at the door hinges. I can feel it when I touch it that it is still there. I don't know if it will affect the door in long-term. What do you think? Usually the hinge is the one giving problems to a door. Now they over cut it and use some 'plaster for wood thing" to seal it like that? What should I do? Don't wish to annoy my contractor but is it right they just patch it like that??? (Sorry I post a new topic on this but no one reply me in my T-blog) =(
  3. Hi All, Anyone engaged ID Urban Habitat Design for their reno? How is the workmanship and service? We received a quote from them and is reasonable compared to engaging Contractors. However their payment term is not flexible. Asking 10% Upon confirmation, 40% before commencement of site and Masonry works , 40% before confirmation and fabrication of carpentry and 10% Handover. Although this is standard payment terms, we tried negotiating but not successful. 50% payment required even before starting any work. Appreciate any feedback.
  4. Hello, I have engaged an ID to fully take charge of the renovation for my 40 yo resale HDB flat. So far, I have paid 55% and ID is demanding the next 40% payment before they proceed with installation of cabinets and vinyl flooring. After checking the wall tiles in kitchen and toilet, find that the workmanship of the sub-contractor is undesirable. Can anyone tell me whether I'm too fussy or the workmanship is really poor? Pictures attached. Thanks & appreciate your feedback!
  5. Hey guys, I realise a number of the cabinets have such small holes. Looks like they laminate before punching the holes to connect the wood together. Are these workmanship problems? I've never seen such holes before for my current cabinet at old place or at neighbours place. The contractor have not mounted all these cabinets yet and my ID tell me to wait for them to mount everything first then check again.
