In the beginning, before renovations started...

We patiently waited for the towers to rise... :(

Finally they did! :yamseng:

Wow! Those are amazing photos, Mr Crab! THanks for sharing, personally, i didn't even notice the construction until gf said we should try for the new TPY flats. And first time i saw the block, it was already built, left 79E to finish.

Now we know 79C won the race to the top :P

Spam chop :dancingqueen:

Finally got to see pix of how those 79X blocks were being built.

When I left S'pore, the old 79 block was still there leh. But when I came back end last yr, :jawdrop: 5 giant blocks stood there greeting me "welcome home" :notti:

Actually 79C started first (followed by D, E, B &/or A), so winning the race to the top doesn't count! :D

Pics were also meant as a visual treat for all TPYers ;)

You could also imagine the size of the rooms (in 79A; 4th photo, right below), with the workers in it :o

What a visual treat of the buildings under construction. The 4th pic in your 2nd post is quite awesome in a sense that it looks very tall among the buildings in the background. I almost had a fleeting impression, "is that a condo building" :P

Anyway your floorplan reminds me of the layout of HDB's habitat 4 room show flat 'cos of the toilets along the passageway

... the colour scheme for the bathrooms are ok :) maybe the tiles are old school...

Honestly I would have preferred white tiles with minimal 'patterns'....but anyway these tiles have now been laid over....pics of that to come later.

Hi Crab!

Nice to see you starting a blog :good:

Hope you have a smooth renovation... :sport-smiley-004:

See you around TPY :notti:

:yamseng:

Couldn't zz sleep last nite, so I thought why not? :sport-smiley-018:

Reno is currently going on fine, of course with the usual 8|:bangwall::furious: and :yamseng::good:;):D , but at the end of the day, most important is that our ID has very good :drunk: with us!

btw, y crab shack? R u in any way related to Crab Shack the eatery?

No lah, not related. Hope I did not infringed on any copyright here :P

No particular reasons for crab shack; just wanted an interesting name :)
