we cannot fill up the planter box cos there is a drainage pipe there...

the contractor made a frame and laid the wood on the frame cos

our development doesn't allow drilling to be done.

so it is hollow beneath the changai wood.

this is the planter box after decking with wood

Possible to make a recommendation for the contractor for your timber decking if you feel that they've done an excellent job with your place?

I am looking for a reliable one that provides good workmanship with reasonable pricing. Got any contacts to share please? My unit has 2 planters and am thinking of decking them out with chengai wood. :)

Thanks heaps!

Appreciate if anyone can PM me their contractor contact and quote for the planter box work.

Thanks.

I am interested to know too.

Is it possble to use the planter area for storage of brooms etc after decking it - ie do a moveable decking?

Thanks

The planter wood looks neat and gorgeous! and it matches the surrounding greenery. :)

Are the planks removable for cleaning? What if smthg like earrings fall into the gaps? Or worse a hideout for pests?

yes they are removable. Usually quite a few planks make up one block. hence, it can be quite heavy.

I just did mine for my apt... and honestly, it is really quite heavy..
