Mounting Bed On Bay Window

I have seen some showrooms where the mount the bed partially on the bay window. Has any one tried that? Just wondering if it is comfortable to be partially on the bay window.

U can rest anything on the bay, but don't fall out of the window or onto the floor.

depends on the height, some bay windows are too high for a bed's height.

SOP is to build platform below the bed.. so the height just right.

I also remember seeing this in magazine and I am thinking of have one and use the space below for storage. Anyone done that is this forum can advise?
