wow

are all your quotes for concealed wiring i.e. includes hacking and patching back?

my contractor is intending to charge me $200 per double plug point, with hacking and patching back because I have no intention of having any feature wall or false ceiling.

is that very exorbitant? he says the reason it is so high is because of the hacking and patching back.

Hi

I need contacts of electricians to quote please?

I have been quoted the following:

1) Install and supply lighting point $38 (53)

2) Change light $15 (24)

3) Install light fittings $9 (74)

4) Supply 1X13A SSO $90 (1)

5) Supply 2X13A SSO $150 (10)

6) Supply 4 SCV point $150 (4)

7) Supply and install waterproof socket $150 (2)

8) Supply and install master switch $140 (1)

9) Supply and install cooker hood and hob with heater switch $150 (1)

10) Change switch $35 (16)

11) Change socket $50 (11)

12) Install 2 way $50 (2)

14) Shift 2X13A SSO $50 (4)

Altogether is $7230

Can you please let me know if the quote is reasonable? I think it is quite high and would like to get other quotes from electricians.

Also, I was told that we cannot "shift" lighting points, must install new ones. I am amending our false ceilings and keeping the basic down lights permutation, but apparently, ALL the lighting points must be new. I find this really strange.

Thanks all..

ps: Need the contacts urgently please.
