Whats The Current Duration Between 2nd And 1st Appt

Hi, while I as told the period between the 1st and 2nd Appt for HDB purchase is around 5 to 8 weeks, I would like to know from anyone here who have gone thru their 1st appt recently, whats the 2nd appt period?

Kindly advise pls

hi, my sis recently went for her 1st appointment in oct, the duration from 1st appointment to 2nd range between 4-6weeks. But this duration must be agreed between sellers and buyers. So, if the sellers are still residing in the house and need more time to pack and move, likely that they would request for 6weeks, sometimes even longer

Seller has the rights to stay till 8 weeks. However you could write a letter during 1st appointment to request for early completion (5 or 6weeks) however if you doing contra, then will have to check with officers the fastest possible date.

Anyway this is the sample for early completion. Hope it helps...

Seller has the rights to stay till 8 weeks. However you could write a letter during 1st appointment to request for early completion (5 or 6weeks) however if you doing contra, then will have to check with officers the fastest possible date.

oops didnt realise there is a similar thread. Can i ask this letter is done before 1st appointment , during 1st appointment or after 1st appointment ?

If not in a contra situation, will hdb agree ? ( on mutual agreement from buyer and seller )

Just went for our 1st appointment on 11 Dec. Buyer requested for an early completion date via a written letter signed by both parties, hdb approved and fix the 2nd appointment date on 7 Jan. My agent said this is the fastest that he have came across. Have not pack our stuffs yet, rushing to pack this few days. Very sad also as have to move out earlier than expected :( Our new place's 1st appointment is only on 22 Feb, long way to go.

huh ! how can this happen. why would you go agree if you are not ready to shift ? at least should stretch the maximum 8 weeks !

buyer's request, but you have to sign the letter too right? why did you sign if you are not ready??

Hello Hello

We are also curious about this , our first appointment juz announce today to be on 30th March. Can we bring earlier our 2nd appointment when we went down on the 30th Mar?

As the flat is vacant already, we feel that the sellers should have no problem to do so as well. =)!

You can try talking things wih the seller and the HDB officier during the 1st appt and see what is the earliest date that can be fixed. If not, you can consider to 'take over' the keys earlier from the seller and start your reno first. By the time for the 2nd appt, may be just nice you can properly take over the keys and move in already

Although, it's a nice arrangement but the buyer must be careful. There is no paper signed. There's no black over white.

If the seller suddenly refused to sell/come/sign in the 2nd appointment, what would you do?

You could sue him, etc. etc. But is it worth it?

I am also in the same predicament as you but it's better to be safe than sorry. Eight weeks is quite long but do you want to take unnecessary risk?

I had draft out the letter for earliest completion date. As there are no contrary addresses involve in this application.

Can the below format do fine as well?
