Is Homogenous Tles Porcelain Tiles?

Hi guys,

can anyone advise me if homogenous tiles the same as porcelain tiles?

Cos recently i ordered my black flooring tiles from HU* K***G, then when the tiles came, The packaging states porcelain tiles..

Are they the same?

U can try out splashing water onto the tiles.

Homogenenous tile has a very low water absorption rate.

Maybe if u can provide me with the tiles name or no,. I can check out for u.

Is it the sales person from Hu* K**n* in Defu told you abt this?

the black tiles with speckles CHTP-QT/6001JL...

cos when i wanted homo tiles, the saleperson showed me the selection and i like this black since the other black is plain black.

It is different. I use Porcelain tiles for my current flat (which I've sold and is awaiting 1st appointment). Prices are in-between Ceramic and Homogenous... this is as per confirmed by my SIL which is an ID and my flat then was designed and done by her...

Pocelain tile = ceramic tile. Water absorption <0.5%. Good for wall application, not for flooring. Ceramic layer will "chipp off" easily, due to hi-temp treatment during formation. Sharp/heavy object fall upon will leave unreversible "marks".

Homogeneous tile is harder, granite is the best for flooring. There are "cheap" granite produced in/by China. Indian granites most exp.
