Designer Buff! Furniture, Lighting, And Stuff..

Recommended Posts

This is from Like Lights? they do have an impressive range of cool lamps. Those that we like. hahha

But sad to say, i am trying to be as ECO-friendly as possible.

These vintage bulbs are very energy consuming.

100watts each? where our normal common philips Energy savings ones are only 25watts. [not talking about LEDs]

and Philips is probably 4x brighter at 4x more power saving, and maybe 4x cheaper [considering USD30 for vintages]

But i have to say its beautiful and very decorative.

Excellent for Retro or Manhattan theme decor which is popular these days.

Design-wise - very nice & very cool vibe

Sustainablity-wise - contributing to global warming.

I apologize to Dr.Tran if it seems like im putting it down,

but my intentions are for the better of our environment not intended to be negative.

As usual, Good designs always!

Oh i just found an article on edison bulbs in Apartment Therapy [plenty of great design reads as well]

for those who are keen, this people are importing them at around $20-$25 each

im ordering 10pcs of the Teardrop, cos there is buy 4 get 1 free

sorry for being not being very Eco-friendly, i realize that they are 40w each which are not that bad.

Im only using for dining table which is at the most 1hr a day. normally wont use this lamp for general lighting.

You are right, it seems like this is a big trend nowadays.

You see this bulbs at all the hip & happening places like new cafes, new restaurants and even Condo showflats.

There is like a vintage revival of some sorts in home & decor mags.

Good post actually.

H E L L O !
D E S I G N
J U N K I E S,

Its been a while since i last logged in.

Seems like everyone now loves industrial chic and vintage designs.

Cage lamps or those those which u can see the vintage bulbs are the new demands.

I guess designers are striping off to minimalist.

Scrolling down the pages and this New Tom Dixon Lustre really caught my eyes.

Saw them at a Restaurant in Hong Kong during business lunch.
while i have no idea what lamp it was until i read this post from Nloft!! Thanx!!

Finally a very good and current replacement to the Beat. its so overdone nowadays.

I think this a nice industrial chic lamp that can apply to those barn style homes as well.
Both style are very in now in Singapore.

Apparently this lamp is design by Singaporean. How cools is that? very raw design which can go nicely with the industrial theme.
