Between Mr Chang And Tong Noong Zhen

Recommended Posts

Dear Forum

Here is my experiences i would like to share. And i would like your advices.

Tong Noong Zhen (from Upper Serangoon Rd)

Mr Chang Tian (fengshuiyinyang)

a) Mr Tong Noong Zhen has been my geomancer for years. So far so good. However his concepts of fengshu is placing "fengshui items", which the items are cheap (not thousand of dollars type), maybe $1 for a hulu, or $1 for some old coins. I've known him since year 2004 and each year house audit i go to see him for advices. I never have major sickness, neither i am living in poverty.

b) I engaged Mr Chang this year since many members recommend good points in the forum. His style is no fengshui items, but perhaps plants only. However his style is more Qi Balancing. As my is an old house, he suggest that i do renovations to improve.

As Mr Tong is my long-term geomancer, i am not dis-trusting him but i discuss following issues with him.

1. I honestly discuss with him on my meeting with Mr Chang on renovations. He told me that regardless of renovation, the "fengshui" strategy remains the same. That means BEFORE i met Mr Chang, For example, my altar Guan Yin is facing my masterbedroom (not facing door or windows), it has to remain. BTW the purpose of Guan Yin altar facing my room is to "protect and watch over husband and wife, etc). After i met Mr Chang, he suggested a partion in my living room but Guan Yin faces the windows/main door. The partition is to prevent the door Qi NOT to flow out of windows. I've not decided on renovation yet.

2. For "water" placment, both of them indicate the SAME place. Ok at least both matches.

3. For "wealth or cai" placment, both of them differs. Mr Tong indicate there is another "cai position" and ask me to put a piggy bank. But Mr Chang told me that "water element is EQUAL to wealth location", thus there is no indication of "cai position". Therefore this part differs.

4. For "study" place, my normal direction by Mr Tong is face direction A, while Mr Chang ask me to do the opposite, ie currently my back will become front and front become back. This is conflicting between them.

5. both of the geomancers never heard each other before. Both said "experiences for over 20 years". Mr Tong Noong Zhen at times appear on Sin Min.

What Mr Tong told me that he is ok if i wish to adoot Mr Chang's strategy, but i must remove all Mr Tong's fengshui strategy and setup a new Mr Chang fengshui strategy. This is so that i can evaluate the effectiveness of different stratgies but NEVER try to combine them all to get max effects. He told me like u see Doctor A, then visit Specialist B, yet i try to consume BOTH medicine. He suggest ONE DOCTOR remedy.

However if later i found that Mr Chang "renovation of Qi" do not work well and ask Mr Tong again, Mr Tong told me that he will do the same setup PREVIOUSLY. That is because his fengshui strategy already combine for max effect for my Bazi.

At the same time, my wife has always wanted a re-design of house for herself. Again Mr Tong say regardless of renovation, eg the cai and wealth element or altar and others do not change and all things will be placed the same spot again.

I believe everyone of us here wants the best for him/her lives. Thus i've no choice but to state the issues openly.

Any ideas to break the decision making process ?

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

if i were you, and since Mr Tong's solutions have proven to work well for you, i would just stick with him, rather than take a risk with another FSM.

try not to 'play play test test'. the results can sometimes be disastrous.

since you've already consulted fsm before, you would know the directions of your floorplan. note them down and bring it to a third fsm for floorplan consultation w/o visit.. cost approx $100++ only...

i've 2 pro fsm and one hobby fsm on the same flat... all 3 had similar recommendations... 1 pro added 1 or 2 stuff over another over the yrs but never contradict (directions drawn on the floorplan were exact)...

the hobby fsm (my friend) w/o seeing any of the other's recommendation and just based on the floorplan with directions gave similar recommendations, just that the ornaments recommended were different but the rationale remains the same.... when he visited my house for CNY, he did insist that i replace an ornament that was made partly of plastic material, with another similar one made of 'tu'...

just my experience and i know nuts abt fsm, that's why i pay for their services...

Precisely, you invite "trouble" yourself. Why let trouble troubles you? That was why i don't let "fortune teller" to read my future "fortune". In fact, i believed, you already know the answer.

yes, since u have good experience with the first, I think stick to it. But I find it interesting because obviously you are looking at improving the current situtation?

I didn't really hear before altar facing bedroom theory. Usually altars face window or door? That is what I see so maybe I am wrong

I guess everyone will stick to 1st fsm when things are good.

But sometimes i want to jump to "better", so i search for quality.

Anyway i discuss with my 1st fsm

a) he says "no one" like to "redo" whole reno, that is why simplest method is to put in fengshui items (cheap ones).

I don't really trust fengshui items be it cheap or ex. From what I hear, classic fengshui doesn't have items. I am not familiar. Some bro here may know.

Just my opinion...firstly there is nothing fantastic of fsms writing in Sin Min or other newspaper. Look at those famous ones who were being chased after by income tax shows clearly whether such a person is fit to practise feng shui. There were also many animals signs that were written were alo inaccurate in their prediction. Secondly, most people know by now all these hulus, qilin etc don't work. I 've collected many feedbacks from many forummers that their previous 'famous' fsms who sold them many items or ornaments, in the end they either in financial or health problems.

Thirdly, look at the feedbacks of the fsm here....I think you can decide on your own....just 1 cent worth....

actually Mr Dong did not request to put himself in papers, it is the journlist that request for it. But for this thread, in case people do not know who is Mr Dong, i thus indicate that he at times write for the sin min. Here is his face : http://eastcoastlife.blogspot.com/2006/12/fengshui.html

I do agreed that "animal" or "english" zodiac does not mean anything. Usually i ignore it.

As for tax evasion issue, Mr Dong did not break the law so far as i know because i have relative working in IRAS :-)

As for QiLin, etc - Mr Dong tells me that this are for businessmen or living in landed property. Therefore it does not apply to most common people. (i am not sure this is true or not ...)

As for Mr Chang of fenghuiyinyang - i can't search a "face" in the internet until i met him. Does anyone knows his full name ?

IRAS is not happy about those "Angbao" income & wanted fsms to report the amount. Own boss where got IR8A, company income/expenses figs can be easily manipulated tax these. In fact, IRAS does the right thing........, "Kill one, to warn the rest".

Last yr in Taiwan, visited one FS shop, selling all the puicui/puiyao, big & small, colorful some more to suit the "metal, wood, water, fire, earth". Got Chinese name analysis, palm reading, sleeping position vs animals........the more he spoke, the more sound like promoting his "home-made" "medicated paster", half way I walked out. Sis-in-law spent abt $3k bought 3 little puicui. He claims to have business associate with those shops in FuLuShu building.

This seems to me obviously very questionable about his comments. There are many fsms using Qilin even for common people.

To go further, can ignore all FS items which are "dead", or "no lives". Spirit possession on dead item is another issue, is religious based, better not to discuss here.
