My Conclusion About Curtain Makers - Just Go For The Cheapest!

Recommended Posts

give Anthony a call at +** - +6016-7373161. he did my 4bedrm house beautifully and his prices are so much cheaper than the ones in the shops. i have been overquoted many times. and i know you all have been too at some point. so give him a try. he really is good. lol.

Tks ollie for the contact.

We'll probably only do full-length curtains for living room, then get the rest from IKEA for the three bedrooms.

I'm also looking for a curtain maker for my 5-rm flat. I was being quoted $700+ only night curtain for Balcony (full height), MBR & 1 small window which is near to air con ledge (full height), the other 2 bedrooms (half height).

The material that I saw in the shop is quite good ie block out 90% sunlight. I will be using tracks for all the rooms. I felt that no point having day curtains since me n wife will be working.

Any advice whether the quotation given is reasonable??? Thanks.

Hi, I bought mine in Msia, they have nice fabrics too. Total spent RM1800 (excl tracks which costs less than S$100).

I did a Roman blind for MBR (3.3m x 1.5m), half length (3m x 1.55m) night curtains for baby room and guest room and a full length day curtain for living room (3.9m x 2.47m).

PM me if you want the contact..

After reading so many threads in this forum, I came to the conclusion about curtain makers.

You see many people complained about lightings shops, furniture shops, superstores like Courts, Audio House, etc..

but you NEVER NEVER see a single complaint about curtain maker.

10 out of 10 all said how GREAT and SUPERB SERVICE and QUALITY their curtain makers have given them!!!

My conclusion is that even if you go for the cheapest one quoted you, cannot go wrong too! The results will be as good!

no complaints about curtain shop??? try reading this curtains thread

even e so called "famous" jimmy textiles have complaints. as a consumer, of course 1 must pay value for $ & cheap

is not always good, look at ikea stuff for instance. :notti:

Hi Woody,

I'm looking to install blinds for my whole house. Mind sharing your contacts? Do they come over to SG to do the measurements for you?

I got my flat done up by Clementi Kian Seng Curtains for $850/- Balcony full height 3mX2m+, 2 bedroom half height, MBR full height and 1 small window also full height. Night curtain cant be done cos of false ceiling and window grille which leaves me with too little space to install railings. So far install for 1 week liao. The material and sewing is very good. Can see it will last. =)

i just had roller blinds done today by Mr Chew. he also does curtains and other window stuff.

one word: FANTASTIC!!!!

quality:

rolls up and down smoothly and in proper alignment too. u cant see the edge of d blinds overlapping as they roll up.

service:

u knw hw installers hv to drill mounting holes into ur walls or ceilings n dirt & dust is generated n after they finish d job, u'll hv to clean up, vacuum and mop, plus surrounding furniture also gets coated wif dust? well, wif Mr Chew, thr's no need to. he's got a customised vacuum tt he uses to vacuum up d dirt & dust as he drills. for clean freaks like me, this is just perfect. those who call him, can mention Jason frm Jurong East. he'll surely rmb my newspapers....lol.

price:

blew my mind. unbeatable, given the level of service n quality u get. even my painter, and my ID also jawdrop.gif bowdown.gif when they heard his quote to me. obviously, both of them asked me for his contact.

as far as i'm concerned, nx time, whenever anyone ask me for referral, or whatever house i stay in, all my curtains, blinds etc will be done by Mr Chew so long as he's still doing it. even if i hv to pay him a little bit extra to do....haha.

for those who want his contact, PM me.
