kitchen sink support

DSC08549.jpg

Hi had saw that your sink support is using concrete (refer to the 2 concrete upstand )... would you be free to put up more photo on the interior also... I think end of the day you had used laminate to cover it up right. Also what about the rest of your bottom cabinet, do they also have this concrete support?

danelow, thanks for bringing my blog back into existence! :D

yup, it's concrete support, granite top, and laminate exterior

as for pix, sure will take some. but have put alot of things under the sink, got to clear them first. What is it you want to see/tell?

I just like to see the interior how it looks with the concrete support. Do you tile up the exterior and then do the laminates? So far most of the kitchen I saw nowadays is all timber except yours. For the concrete support you only allow for the sink area or all of your cabinet?

Thanks

hi danelow

here you go. hope these will give you a better picture

support - concrete + tiles + wood and lastly laminate

and to answer yr questions

1. yes, it's concrete, then tiles, followed by wood then laminate (for the sides), but for top, no wood layer

2. I chose concrete for sink area bc it being always wet, I felt more secure. It's more like my old kitchen with the tile top, except that in this case, we have a granite on top for more aesthetic appeal. I only use concrete support for my 2 sinks in the kitchen, other cabinets just wood, except the base, of course.

bear in mind also that concrete is thicker, so does take up some space that can be extra storage. So need to balance all that before deciding on which to do. and of course, extra cost.

hth

footprint

maybe talk to yr contractor again. Mine did mention that this way is harder and requires more precision, bc need to measure before cut. The part the glass contractor "complains" most is the black-white mirror feature at the dining area, bc the more cuts, the more accuracy is needed else joints will not be neat.

Nothing to do now, so went round taking some random pictures of some simple buys that make life easier

very handy tool for chopping stuff like garlic/shallot/ginger. My fav is to use it for shallots, bc that always make me tear if I do using a knife

ha ha .. great for picking up dust!

item 1 indeed good buy!

hee. :)

mass blend then keep.

hate the smell, esp onions, really good @ making pple cry. :P

ha ha, some how many did you buy? Promoter kept asking me to get a few more - 1 for shallot, 1 for garlic, 1 for ginger ... I was like hah?

some of their items are quite good, but others are totally useless

My mom n mil only got one.

Mainly for shallots.

Having one each is good as each will not be covered by various smells.

:P

Then again, as mention, just mass-blend, keep n wash thoroughly will do for next use. :P

the picture is not doing justice to the storage bed frame, but it's certainly one of the best things I have purchased! Show you a photo of the bedframe taken in the showroom

Hi froggy,

I am looking for such a storage bedframe too. Can let me know its quality and durability?

Tried to PM you but I think your PM box is full.

Thanks. :D
