thanks thanks.. =)

Anyone have experience with the ID contacts i mentioned? :D

actually there is no point in comparing based on the ID firms. each company has got different ID, and some maybe better than the rest. so if u get a good ID in a so-so firm, then u are ok, however, if u get a substandard ID in a popular firm, then oso da-mn suay...

a more fair comparison would be to do an apple-to-apple comparison on the works to be done, with the same material, at least that forms the basis of comparing materials, and leaving only workmanship as the unknown factor.

yep, i agree with neubie. heard very bad stuff from friends who engaged IDs from those more 'popular' firms. at first promise this promise that, sign already different story. call never answer, got problems push here push there. i think the most important thing is to get an ID you feel good with and is responsible. of course let them know that you things to be transparent and u HATE surprises.. ;) Up to this stage, we're happy with the ID we chose so far. waiting for renovation to start before I can tell you more la.. :)

I'm using Ideal House too.. The cheapest quotation I received but mine's with Sean. So far, Ideal House is flexible.. Hope my renovation will go smoothly. I didn't get quotation frm the other IDs u went.. So cant help u with the comparison.. Go ard the forum, u will surely find some information regarding the other IDs.

to get more quotes, give ur email and phone contacts to your contractors/IDs. my contractor told me for those who email him w/o hp contacts, he wouldn't bother reverting to them, since it's likely they are just fishing for quotations and prices nia...
